2 tears in the labrum, and 1 in the capsule. What are you having repaired?

maxmini..make sure they give you the ice chest that has a tube that connects to a velcro'd shoulder harness for your post surgery. It can be set at a very cold temp to keep your shoulder numb and you will be in very little pain. That way you wont even need to take drugs that will make you woozy and just dull the pain. My Doc (SF 49er doc)told me the reason shoulder surgery is so painful is your arm connects to your hand which has the most nerve endings in your body. Then get to rehab as soon as you are able and work it hard so it doesn't freeze or lock up. If it does...well let's just say you don't want that.

I didnt see that option on MINIUSA site?
I had surgery on my left shoulder few yrs ago. I went with a detached labrum for a few yrs after a volleyball injury. Dern thing came out of socket all the time. I had it come out on me once while I was under a car and I couldnt put it back in until I slid out. That was the last straw! I went and had it looked at and got an MRI. He couldtn tell me what was wrong until he got a camera in there. I am so glad he was able to fix it arthroscopicaly!(sp?)
The recovery time is much faster! My first visit to therapy was 2 days after surgery. My first exercise was to roll/twist my wrist back and forth, then to squeeze a plushball. I couldnt do either! Now after 3 yrs and all my theropy and keeping it strong, I am so glad I got the surgery and to have my shoulder back! My left arm was actually smaller than my right arm by the time I had gotten the surgery!
