I took delivery of my 2006 AB/W MCS in mid January. I'm quickly approaching 9000 miles on the odometer and I've been lovin' every minute of it! The new gearing is hot and there is little to want in the handling department. Everything has been solid save for the half shafts which are "click/clacking" when I either apply or let off the throttle. I'll be having those replaced or re-torqued when I make my visit to Baron MINI next month (I live in Omaha). It's a minor annoyance that I'm sure MINI will rectify.

I've had my SB/S Checkmate since november. CHECKS now has abour 6500mi on him and is doing great. He's absolutely fantastic in every way. June 9th he is getting a few upgrades. The CAI I won at MOTD is getting installed along with a pulley and sway bar. Craziness how all this stuff adds up....LOL and the mods and grapics and everything just keeps going. I think it's pretty awesome myself

Lots of love...

Alex is just about to roll over 2000 miles and drives just right. The brakes feel better and after cleaning the car windshield a few times along with the wipers...the windshield doesn't look like it's covered in Vaseline when it rains

Looking to complete a few upgrades after I finish moving into my new place. Springs, rear sway, wheels, tires...the list just goes on and on

yet another '06 checkin

'06 CR MCS. I traded up from an '01 BMW X5. The mini handles like it is on rails. It is a hoot to drive. My better half refused to drive the X5, but I have to wrestle her for the keys to the mini.

Picked up my 06 CR/B JCW at the end of March, now have 3000 miles on it, not a single problem! Been averaging btwn 28-30 mpg, which is really good considering my somewhat aggressive right foot! This car is deceptively quick, since the torque curve is so linear, the car just keeps gathering steam all the way to redline without any peakiness!! So smooth and so much fun! The car handled like it was on rails at MOTD.....I was extremely impressed!!

I'm currently waiting on my 06 MCS SB/S ChkMt JCW to be built, which should be done by first week of June. So hopefully by end of June I will see mine. Can't wait to go back road hunting in MD.

Purchased my 06 DS/Blk MCS in March. I thought it would take forever to get to 1250 miles! :impatient My commute to work has never been so much fun. I had originally thought I'd mod the car, but it's so much fun to drive in stock trim I now plan to leave well enough alone. I've been down the engine mod slippery slope before. Once I get started I can't stop.

Since my purpose was to buy a fun commuter car to save fuel (my other car is a 4x4 SUV) I'll try not to lose sight of my intial plan. Either way I'm having a blast in my 06.

And I thought that the nearly 6700 miles we have on MIB, Delivered 12/9/05 was a lot!

Are you in the Astro Black Registery and Astro Black Frapper Map?

Trading a low mileage 03 MCS for an 06 MCS. I just hope that there really are refinements and improvements. 10 non scheduled trips to the dealer to fix electrical issues, sunroof, windows...... but we want another one!

Our 1st mini

Have it now about 3 weeks, 1600 miles. LOVE it. No problems to report. Just installed XM Direct, Blitzsafe and now looking at pulleys.

Looking forward to meeting others and having some fun.

Anyone in CT/Mass area, let us know. We're in Western Mass, not Boston area.

Took delivery my 06 MCS/JCW on Jan. 30, 2006. 6K+ miles later this wee beasty is still chernin' through the twisties! The only car I've owned where I've not wished for something else. Absolutely NO buyers remorse here!

06 MC AB/B, 3 weeks, 2000 miles and no problems at all (except wanting to drive more)

I buy to drive, not sit in a garage!

Our 06 MCSa arrived mid March, and has been a blast to drive. Nothing wrong, no rattles, gas mileage around 25 to 32 depending on how I'm driving. Since we live in the foothills of North Georgia, I would suspect that we might get a bit less mpg because of the up, down and round and round we go. But that's what has been the best part of this car!
