Mystery Tools Under the Rear Seat

So I am installing a constant 12v outlet in the console of my wife’s Cooper and had to remove the rear seat. Attached to the underside I found these:

Close up of the Allen key:

Removed from seat:

So, any idea what these are doing there and what they are used for?
TIA

The Allen wrench is there for those of us who shop Ikea all the time. It is very useful when building their furniture! (just joking!)

Yeah, no kidding, that is what I was thinking. Maybe there are some parts I still have to install myself.

I'm not sure about the larger tool but the allen could possibly be for the sunroof. I believe in my 03 you could pull the clock down and use an allen wrench to open or close the sunroof.

Looking back at the larger tool. Maybe it's for towing. You slip the curved portion into the tow hook and pull your MINI down the road like a little red wagon.

Could be, but this one is a convertible.

Nah, why would you need a handle, can't you just carry it?

Check your owner's manual...

The allen key is used to raise the top if the motors fail. It requires someone to actually lift up the top, the allen key was to either release it or lock it in place. The actual procedure is in the owner's manual but I've only read it once and can't remember the details. The long 'coat hanger' tool is used if the rear hatch won't release, it's used to grab that 'glow in the dark' handle on a string that's attached to the inside of the rear hatch. On hardtops there's a pull string/handle under the rear seat that does the same thing.

I once had a Civic with a sunroof, it came with a 'manual crank' tool in case the sunroof failed. I kept it in the glove box and when I sold the car I explained to the new owner what it was and how to use it. Months later he showed up on my doorstep, apparantly he had run down the battery while sharing his new gazillion watt stereo with the neighborhood with the sunroof open and an overnight rain flooded the car. He wanted to know if I had another 'manual crank' tool (?!!) ...
