In the meantime the doorcards are back in - the middle Y-piece is done in JCW Carbon fibre and the round panels in matte black

241 whp and 195 lb/ft wtq consisting of:
- Thumper TPR2-R head and ARP bolts
- Thumper intake manifold
- Janspeed manifold with de-cat (portmatched to head)
- 550 cc Bosch Injectors
- 1320.co.uk Custom Remap
- Newman camshaft
- Milltek catback
- Dave.F airfilter modified a little further for more air
- Sprintex charger with 64 mm pulley
- NGK BCR8ES plugs
- ATI superdamper 1% crankpulley
- Helix Clutch and TTV single mass flywheel
- GRS Motorsport TM IC powdercoated black
- M7 Thermostat
- 63 mm throttle body

Plan is to change the newman cam to a catcam and put some ARP rodbolts in so the rev-limiter can go up a bit more and we might reach the 260 whp-limit

Future plans may include a 100% meth-installation, a 60 pulley on the sprintex and a standalone ECU to knock it even further

Hi daveke,

That is one nice looking Mini. Loved the clean looks from the outside and the bare bone functionality of the interior.

I, myself have the Dave.F intake, could you please explain further on how to modify for more air.

Thanks

The low part of the air-box (which is screwed tight with the two "higher" screws) was cut out on that part and on the rear screen which already has a hole for the Dave F (we put in one of the rubber IC couplers - the smaller of the two - to seal the two parts together and provide some more air into the DaveF

Fleavilla, I was toying with the idea od white arches as well, but haven't had a chance to to do a photoshop check on it first. Not sure if it will look well. Now, doing more white in the interior... that's my next mod.

Another negative vote on the white arches; it won't look good, IMHO.

Awesome updates, guys.

My MINI has a broken flywheel - all of the dampening springs have broken. It will move, it rattles bad and lurches, I won't drive it until it is fixed. It is ok, I had been only driving the car on the weekends since March. I'm rockin' a very worn out '89 Corolla as a commuter vehicle.

I just got mine back after a new clutch flywheel bearings and transmission. At least the electric blue paint doesn't need replaced.

On the other side of things my jaw dropped when I saw 241 WHP! Nice and your going up to 260!? Wish I had the cash, and I would actually love to know exactly what got you to 241? Maybe one day I can get her up there..

And please do a night pic with all those halo's that's got to be wicked seeing those in ones rearview as it blue streak blasts buy them.
Actually, I just made some new plans and target is somewhere around 285-290 whp

But, the black is being carried on with - I have got the car for a year and a half now and the white looks nice but kind of sweet - And this car is far from sweet. Black looks more tough I guess..

Also the JCW leather steering wheel is goign to me removed and sold, I want an OMP racing wheel in it, plus a CAE Ultrashifter :D

I was poking a bit I'll admit, the honest truth is I don't no..do you have it set up that way for a reason? Is that a racing set up or are you just messing with me back?

I could see how it might take corners like a madman hat way..

That's a very nICE blue you've got there, but it doesn't have the same 'juice' that this thread is named after...

I run that much camber back there so i can fit my wheels and lower it a lot.

Same here. I got the alert from your post, but have been getting repeat alerts for post 744 above over the past few days. I've informed the administrators already.
