I had redline leather make the pieces. They didn't cut the holes for the side vents, so I will have to get them cut. Mounting them myself though.

Ah, found that crazy rattle. A piece was loose behind the speedo! Tightened the screw and a little foam padding. It's all good now

Thanks!
HOWEVER i found that it makes waxing a pain....currently the plasti-dip is off because wax touched it and completely messed it up so keep that in mind.

I'll keep that in mind. Since I picked up my used EB, i've yet to give it a proper and thorough cleaning and waxing which I am feeling desparate to do. This rain SUCKS...leaves waterspots filled with dirt on my car and windows Need to clay it and then wax it. Maybe then...

Bored...

Came home from college, was bored and decided to do some mods along with a detailed wash and wax.

Jcw upper and lower grill install (super easy i dont know why people complain)
Blacked taillights (personal touch for an oem finish look)

Started on making a custom front splitter. When i go back home ill wrap it.

Thinking about a red splitter with red mirror caps? what do yall think?

Other mods since people asked:
Miltek catback, K&N CAI, MSD COIL, MSD 8.5 wires, Brisk plugs, 15% reduction, 2% ATI crank pulley, TSW upper and lower, SPEC Stage 3 clutch, Spec lightweight flywheel, NS1 cam, Bosh 550s, Powerflex all around,....i know im forgetting things...(tune soon to come)

Plasti dipped hood scoop, headlight rings, enkei rims, jcw upper and lower grill, blacked custom tinted taillights...(boost gauge, and front splitter to come)

Sounds like a cool idea to add in the red. Would like to see how it turns out! Good Luck

I didn't realize there was an E-Blue group hidden within. Sadly my wife's prized new MINI, Bini as we call her came to a sad end when an elderly driver crossed centerline and hit her nearly head on. Credit to the car, all that modern safety stuff not in her 1960 Mini (see Sports & Exotic, Nov. issue), she's still with us.

So now we are looking for another 2005 MCS electric blue, white roof, sports package, premium package, sunroof, heated seats, auto dim rearview mirror, black or dark gray leather. In excellent condition with service current and records to support a past excellent service history. Under 100K miles.

Anyone know of such a car for sale?

I'd also be interested in knowing of sale prices for similar cars so I have ammo for the insurance company battle I anticipate...

Cheers

Well you won't likely find a car that fits those exact needs, especially for this color. But, you should be able to find an Electric Blue with under 100k miles somewhere. To get exactly what you want with these cars is something you have to do when you have the car. But good luck! Just gotta keep lookin.

Irish, not sure the price but there is an EB at Ben's Auto Sales in the OKC area address is 5950 NW 39th St, Warr Acres, OK 73122 phone 405-491-4654

Not positive of the year but I drive by there on a somewhat regular basis, usually when they are closed, it has been there for a cool minute....worth a call

Clean car, and the aero kit is getting hard to find. If it has the 6speed it's worth the money. Just check the usually stuff, strut towers for crowning and the strut holders for cracking, etc..

How about we add another wrinkle to Electric Blue Ownership?
I am the only owner, the S is a Spec car, built in March 02.
The VIN ends in TD50504. So, the 504th S built.
Anyone out there with a one owner, lower build sequence number?
When the dealer called and said the EB was mine if I wanted, I was really debating the color. The brochure did not do it justice, but to turn the slot down would put me 5 months back in line. As I had been working the MINI for 4 years, waiting was not an option. The color is the absolute best out there and I continue to receive compliments.
Mike

Does anyone know the last year of Electric blue? Was it 2006? Or did it continue on into 2nd Gen?

Working just from memory (always dangerous), I recall great gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands occurred in 2005 when EB was discontinued at the end of the 2005 MY.
