Basically a different Turbo and also Tuls has an ECU remap as well.

I don't think 300 is the limit of the stage 2, Tuls already has 340hp and has a stock head, stock cam, stock throttle body and other various parts that could be improved upon to eak out more power.
No major difference in stock weight....just added a turbo is all.

The wieght is more so I can compare aprrox power to wieght ratios with other cars, I'd definately like to see just how much we could squeeze out of these engines. I'd love to see a MINI that has the HP and Torque to go head to head with the Ferraris at the NASA HDPE days at some of the larger tracks, with long straights. Thanks again for sharing the details.

Also, do either of you guys have an lsd?
But, I'm wondering about how these cars launch. Can you get some footage of how this power is to handle, from a stand?
The wieght is more so I can compare aprrox power to wieght ratios with other cars,
So at 2800 lbs / 300 hp is a 9.3 : 1 ratio.
But at 2800 lbs / 400 hp is a 7.0 : 1 ratio Quick Quick Quick!

I just want to publicly thank dominic and tuls for sharing in this thread. often when someone is pushing the envelope they don't share their experiences and info with their enthusiast communities in the hopes to 'have one up their sleeves'. these guys aren't afraid to not only show what they have... but to explain how they got there and help others with their decisions about where to go for power. very cool!

Another thing I did was to improve the ability of the car was to get the quaiffe differential. Which I had installed long after the t/c kit went on. So I had a chance to drive it before and after. You can put more hp to the ground with one installed for sure. Is a t/c'd MCS drivable without one, yes, very drivable.
I also got a stage 2 brake upgrade, which gave me more confidence in going quicker out of a corner, because I knew I had the braking power to slow enough for the next corner.
I did a group drive in some fairly tight twisties the other night with a bunch of other MINI's. All I can say is, whew! my car is scary quick. Pucker factor off the charts

If you divide HP by displacment...you get some interesting figures
as far as an engineering feats...
Ferrari has always claimed minimum 100 hp per liter...beliving that is the perfect balance for a motor....the mondena is 112 hp per liter...the Mini is accually 102 based on my stock HP 04
I just calculated mine as of now....
my mini is making 250 HP per liter...LOL...that's nuts...the mini is amazing!
Dom...your's is 187.5 hp per liter
