Dealer notified me today that my 2003 was ordered. No production date yet. Anyone else waiting for an 03?

 

mine's slated for the september build, which will be the first batch of the 2003s (accdg to info on other threads). the wait is becoming unbearable though

hopefully, we get them sooner than expected

OK, what's the difference between an '02 and an '03 ??

Features, prices, presumably fixes, etc. ??

We had an order on hold for the Harmon Kardon option, pushing the build date to September, when the feature will be first available, and now that wait has been extended to a December build date due to some delay with the sound system !

Am I now looking down the barrel of a 2003 model ?

Patience, patience, patience, 1, 2, 3, .......

 

I have not been able to verify 03 changes yet. I'm sure your mini will be an 03 model. Have you considered an aftermarket sound system?

 

It would seem, that to raise prices with the self-created problems that MINI is dealing with, would be a bit insensitive.

We've considered it, as the dealership has called on a couple of occasions, to verify our desire to wait. But, we arrived at the conclusion that a factory installed premium system, designed for the MINI, would be best in the big picture.

A few months of waiting, from the perspective of the long term relationship we tend to have with cars, will be worth the pleasure of having it done right.

But it's no fun to wait. I'm not a patient person by nature.

Wanderson...ORDER THE MINI...I just got my production number!!!

 

Ordered an 03 about a month ago, looking at a production date sometime in September, delivery in Nov/Dec... indiman, glad to see someone else has gone with the BEST POSSIBLE COLOR for the MINI
As far as I can tell and from what the dealer has told me, the increase in price for the 03's will be due to an increase in the package price (I was told approximately 500 clams for what I ordered) but then again, the packages will more than likely incorporate at least minimally cooler features, but we will all see.

 

Waiting impatiently for an '03. Put deposit on last month, dealer ordered yesterday, got production number today. No date but it IS a Sept production.

Storer, why Nov/Dec delivery for a Sept production? IF, and that's a big if, things go well, production to delivery can take as little as a month - at least over here on the east coast.

WHERE'S MY MINI?!!!

 

Just curious as to why you guys are ordering 03's? are there no more 02's to order? just wondering.

 

I'm waiting for an '03 as well, I spoke to MINIQUEEN the other day and she will hopefully be calling me back in a few days to finalize and I assume place my order.
