All is well with the tvs900. Runs amazing. I did have a issue with the stock dampener that was less than a year old. I think the increased power did not get along well with it. The rubber was not the issue at all. All three were broke and because of this it was a nightmare to get off. New ATI on now of course. I have Jans 3 bar tmap sensor on and I have re scaled the dme to accept it. Hitting 21 psi at 6k. Wont go into my build much but its a handful and very fun.

Firestorm Graphix can provide the smaller rear quarter-panel decals (got mine from them also) that are just smaller versions of the hood decal. You just need to give them the correct size when ordering. On another note: I'm curious to know how much HP you're producing with your setup?
If you have questions ask away.

A MINI friend with a hauling business messaged me last night...was in Albany, NY and had #267 on his trailer asked if I was interested - JA!!!. It is ROUGH...125k miles, been sitting in the mud for a year or more...completely disgusting inside - missing all sorts of pieces here and there (the wheels? ARGH!), headliner falling. Have the plaque, though!
Snuck it away into my super secret storage facility my wife doesn't have access to...once we finish the engine in my sons '03 we'll ahem 'buy it' and bring it home. Right now it barely turns over...even with a good battery. Not sure if it's a ground problem, starter, etc. Will shoot over there with a code reader to see if anything is stored and maybe pull the plugs, clean the engine ground. I would love to hear it turn over freely...
So, anyway...here's #267 now living in Maine.

@James Nichols Did you check under the rubber tray beneath the hand brake? Under the seats? In the glovebox? Inside one of the rear side compartments? If you can't find it it's gone. MINI didn't keep a record of which VINs had which MC40 number so there is no real way to tell which number you have. I've seen a few people make replica plaques in the past but you have to know which number you have or you will likely duplicate someone elses.
There was a site dedicated to tracking this at one point. Owners could go on and supply the info for a database but I think it's gone now.

Nope, not you, Akumazeto. You have a beautiful example. I recently ran across another owner promoting his MC40 but he had removed all the decals and number plates, installed different rims and had a carbon fiber hood -- looked nothing like an MC40. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't understand why anyone would buy a limited-edition vehicle then modify it so heavily that it no longer looks like the original.
Here's mine, for instance:

Anyone here happen to have one of these MC40 flight jackets?
I think it's cool as hell.
One popped up recently on ebay that I was interested in even though I don't own an MC40 and was negotiating back & forth with the seller but then my fancy passed and decided to use the money to get a Raptor shift light instead because I've been wanting one and it's much more practical --- I'm sorta proud that my logical brain beat out my romantic heart in this case of the jacket even though I'd love to have it, and would too if current financial $$$ situation was better, but it is what it is...
...so,
just thought I'd link it here if anyone may be interested,
the lowest the seller seems to want to go is $125 which isn't too bad really:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/224090243866
There's also another one on offerup in Charlotte NC for only $35 but it's a size small,
great bargain if it fits,
brand new condition!

The Alpha flight jackets are great too, I have an older made in USA version in green w/ orange insides and I love it --- might just get some patches and do it up replica style to this MC40 edition.

Removing the mc40 package
So awhile back i bought an 04 r53 mc40 with 155k miles for 3k. It already had an upgraded 16% sc pulley, ddm stainless steel cold air intake and intercooler diverter, 380cc jcw injectors, alta rear sway bar, and a manzo stainless steel cat back exhaust with a Meagan racing 4-1 stainless header. The previous owner tried doing a 90degree bung to go catless which didn't work because it kept a p2096 on and I couldn't pass inspection to register it. I've since welded in a flowmaster cat and swapped the header for an obx tri-y setup to see if it felt better in lower rpm.
Back to the question, so far two of the r90 wheels are a little bit out of round, the GB emblem and paint on the back looks pretty rough, seats abit torn, and the gold plate stating production number signed by paddy hopkirk is gone. There were only 1000 of these packages and I'm wondering if would be too much of a bastardization to change everything to make my own dream mini built on an mc40 legacy.
A while back I found the vin on a forsale ad out of san Antonio but now nothing pops up. I bought it north of Austin in Round Rock. I don't have any plans to get rid of it, the supercharger sound is too good.
I would like to eventually paint it British racing green, repaint the top anthracite grey, dechrome, and swap wheels to a bronze rota rb 17". What are your thoughts?
