Agreed! My MC40 does not have the plate, and I know for sure that they were not VIN specific (I researched this while trying to get the 40 years plaque). At the dealer (on RO's, etc), my MC40 shows as Red/Black.....however I have the window sticker with matching vin and MC40 package as well.

Hey all! I'm a Motoring Advisor at MINI of Fairfield County and fellow MINI Motorer. I emailed my sources within MINI USA and they no longer have a record of VIN corresponding to number plate. If the car you find does not have one unfortunately there is no way to tell what number it is. The interior the MC40's have is unique to this model. In case you didn't know this all of the MC40's originally came with Space Grey Cloth seats. The leather was added at the port as the MC40's were a US market only offering not sold anywhere else in the world.

I know where MC40 Owners can buy replacement Graphics!
Hey all. It's so funny actually that I am posting in the MC40 owners thread however I have been a 5 time MINI Motorer for over the last 7 years and I just had to help a friend I sold an MC40 to find replacement graphics for his car #107 of 1,000. Go to the MINI Motoring Graphics Gallery
http://www.minimotoringgraphics.com/gallery.php and you'll see them right there. You can order the set and they are very reasonable. They use only the highest quality 3M film so you can rest assured the quality is great.

Hey mc40, when we bought it from the dealer it was stuck to the carpet in-between the mirror control and ebrake handle. So I imagine that is where it goes. The sticky solution has faded off now but I keep it there and it stays. I took pics of my interior today after detailing it but not of the center. I'll post pics for you tomorrow!

Has anyone had any experience in replacing the decals? After eight years in the southern sun they're all either completely or mostly faded. I asked the dealership last year how much they cost, and they said $100 for the sticker set and the guy they get to do decals would cost another $100-200. I've seen the decals somewhere else (forget where) for something like $60, but is there any value to going the OEM route?

I'm afraid the time has come to let 336 go. I have had the car for almost 2 years and it has only done 1500 miles. I used to work in the field, and used the car when I was on break. I have since changed jobs and drive my truck as I hate putting miles on the MINI.
I hate to see it sit, but I also don't like driving it too much due to the miles. It sounds like I have some type of illness, eh?
Anyway, still in 2 minds as I type this.
What do you think it is worth? It is completely unmolested with all the right bits including the shift **** and door magnets. 85000 miles....
