I ordered mine from MOTW b/c of the afore mentioned fees and such, but I didn't get any free stuff . My Mini should arrive next week and we'll see if I can talk them into throwing stuff in.

You'll get a plant and a couple of other things. I don't know about receiving free stuff, though.

MoTW is very good. Service, sales, parts. All good.

I will admit that the parts department at MoTW is the WORST!

Sorry Drew but MotoringSpeed WORKS at MoTW and is the Part Dude... He IS the man and will get you whatever you need!

You are mistaken on the MOTW $50 fee. That is a "document fee" that is pretty much standard in Texas (and by law limited to $50.) Momentum's $497 "dealer services fee" is just pure markup although they try hard to rationalize its "value." I got my A3 from the Momentum Audi shop, they would not take off that fee, but ended up discounting the car another $497 to appease me. My sales and service experiences with Aka and Heather at MOTW have so far been quite good.

I bought mine at Momentum and had a very good experience. Lee Carter is my MA. Others I have spoken with did not have a good experience. I think much of it depends on the MA you have. I do know there has been some turn over in personnel there. Hopefully that fixed the problems. As to the service department, I have worked with both Steve and Brian and had nothing but good service from them. I do know of an individual who installed the factory sports link and did not do it properly. He then tried to get the dealership to correct his mistake under warranty. Justifiably they would not do it. He got all upset and ranted and raved about it.

to make a long story short. Both are good dealerships. I would go to the one that is closest to you.

I bought my MC at MOTW about two months ago. I spoke to both Momentum and MOTW. My MA at Momentum was Lee Carter and he was good. Unfortunately, i had a two month wait there whereas what I wanted was available at MOTW. It was a bit of a drive for me, but the experience was great. Aka was my MA at MOTW and he hooked me up with free rubber mats.
I would recommend them for the sale.

Momentum is just a few miles from my work, so I guess they will be servicing my baby. Any idea on how good/bad their parts/service dept is?

As I said, I have been very happy with their service department. I had hit some road debris that damaged a rim. I took it in to have it straightened. They balanced all four wheels at no charge. That was appreciated. Plus, I am guaranteed a loaner car when ever I bring the car in for servicing. That was part of the "Momentum tax" of $450. The tax also included an additional interior and exterior protection package for I believe 3 years. so all in all, I am happy with Momentum MINI. That being said, I did not care for the attitude at Momentum BMW. I found them a bit snooty.

I also ordered from Aka at MOTW and have found the experience very pleasant. I picked them after calling Momentum and found their attitiude too snooty and also the $497 "prep fee" really turned me off. I will say that Aka did not offer any free stuff (floor mats) so I'll ask when I take delivery.

I just got an e-mail today and was told that my MCS is on a ship and headed this way. My MA told me she expected it's arrival in Houston the 2nd or 3rd week in July. Looking forward to taking delivery.

I was sad for a second when you posted that but I just received an email today about getting free rubber mats and free labor on my bonnet stripes . All is good with the world.

Why didn't you get the stripes from the factory? "Free labor" to install bonnet stripes sounds fishy to me. Momentum threw in "free labor" to install me factory ipod adapter. That is a couple of hundred typically.

Well, with the base cooper, it isn't an option to get them installed at the factory... they do it at the dealership... They charge $121 in labour costs at MOTW (so the bonnet stripes are $200 total if you pay for that too...)
