I don't know the laws about such things but this page shows he owns
If he's really not allowed to own anything other than Chevy then maybe that's why he's getting rid of it.
A constantly changing array, including 2001 Corvette C5-R w/ LeMans wing, 2005 Corvette, 1968 Camaro, 2001 "Intimidator SS" Camaro, 2003 Tahoe, 1996 Hummer, 2001 Escalade, 2002 Mini Cooper, 1971 Chevy Impala.

A couple of new Q&A have been posted on the auction:
Question & Answer
Question & Answer
Q: Hello jr14956, I came across this auction but I am concerned about one thing. Due to the owners family history, I have to ask if this car has been involved in any accidents or hit any walls. I did not see it noted in the auction but I wanted to double check. Please get back to me about this issue. Thanks! Jun-20-06
A: ha ha, that got a pretty good reaction in the office. The vehicle is in mint condition, and has never been involved in any accidents.

Q: Your auction is listed under 'Mini : Mini Cooper (2002-Present)' but it looks like a Mini Cooper S. Did you make a mistake in listing or is this a Mini Cooper that has been modified to appear as an 'S'? Jun-20-06
A: It should be listed as an S. The title is registered as an S. Thank you for the correction, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

The biggest give away that this is a scam is the fact that the payment will be handled through a third party. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that is a violation of EBay rules. Lastly, I can guarantee that they will demand the payment prior to delivery of the car to "make sure the check clears" before they bother Dale Jr.
For all you NASCAR Fans bid away

Besides, these guys have a million times the budget and salary of people that really matter in the world...like the average enlisted guy or gal in the military that puts it on the line every day for $18k/yr with substandard equipment that's in need of maintenance, if only the budget allowed it. If only we'd treat these people with the same respect as NASCAR drivers get.....I'd agree the joke was over the line.

Q: Is 270 hp correct or is that a typo? Please list the mods. Thanks. Jun-21-06
A: The car dynoed at 223 to the ground, which, when the 20% loss through the drivetrain is calculated, is actually 269.9 at the flywheel. The pulley is a 17% which is what was suggested for daily driving. The head and intake were ported and polished with new stainless valves. The cams were changed. The header/exhaust system was changed, the injectors were upsized and the computer was remapped. The springs, struts, brakes and sway bars were changed. The larger brakes required the larger wheels for clearance.

Q: I thought I would let you know, that the link posted on your official website, won't link to here. It's saying 'Page not responding' when I try to link. Thanks!! Het Jun-21-06
A: Thanks for the information. We will try to get the link from the website to take you directly here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I like my Mini even if it doesn't have the status of high price. I wouldn't trade for an M3 or a WRX. Maybe an Elise as a second car. Or maybe not. The Mini is pretty fun at the track.
My Mini may not be able to make dinner but it is pretty good at getting attention from someone who can.
You guys who are dissing Dales ride, at least it has it's own style and I bet it can drive circles around some of you.
I wonder if Dale would trade me for my Blazer?
