Any information on aftermarket seats in the mini?
I have a pair of Corbeau seats from another car. They are really nice reciining race seats (much superior to recaro), BUT in the previous application they mounted on rails. I'm not sure how they would fit on the stock seat mounts.

SO: Has anyone tried aftermarket seats on a mini? Is there any way to get information about the stock seat bracket or mounting arrangement?

In another thread someone mentioned problems with the seat adjustment that required them to return the car to the dealer for parts. Any information or experience about that?

I've seen on other site that aftermarket seats are becoming available for the mini.
I went on JCW's website... they are selling racing seats as well as rails.... which may or may not work for your app. but wouldn't hurt to write them and ask. JCW seats link (go to the clubsport section I think... it's the middle column.)
Also I would email Corbeau and ask if they will be making seats for the mini. If so ask them if your seats will fit and if they have rails that would work for your seats.
Hope this helps.

I installed a set of Sparco Torino 2 seats in "Merlin"
Had to get Sparco or aftermarket mounting rails and sliders.
Bolted right up.
Usually the seat mfg. has a mounting kit to fit the car.
