up for Leg #13 from Charlottesville, VA to DC. We'll take the Skyline Drive route on Saturday, Sept 2nd. The views are spectacular up there. Our plans include a drive to Wintergreen Mountain in VA on Friday afternoon, dinner and spend the night there...then meeting up with other Minis (early AM) at the Charlottesville Omni and then on to DC. We'll leave the Mini Train at DC and head North to Frederick, MD to visit Bulldog Rescue friends. We'll then head south to Springfield to spend the night...then take in the Nationals/Diamondbacks game on Sunday afternoon. All we need is good weather! Anyone else have plans to drive any legs?

 

My wife and I are signed up for day 7 - Dallas to Memphis.
We have rental property with a spare apt in Hot Springs, Ark, so we will be taking the 'Off the beaten path' Route and just say in Hot Springs. Should be fun, hope to get in a very long line of Mini's going up the interstate. There were over 460 signed up for this leg last time I looked.

 

I am definitely doing the DC to NYC to CT legs but am really tempted to drive down to Charlottesville and add another leg too.... Next weekend I am visiting relatives living real near Skyline Drive and will be taking the MINI - so psyched about such a nice long road trip complete with some premier mileage (hope to get a few miles of the "Drive" in....) This is going to be the high point of the summer for me !! Bill
