Response to lots of threads!

I think this should tag several threads all at once.
1. BRG pics
2. White wheels
3. 15" wheels on MCS
4. PSS9
5. Coilovers / lowered car
6. Race numbers
7. Driving lights
8. GRS intercooler (admittedly, this is pushing it)
9. What tires will fit? (these are 225 Yokohama A048s, which I use for rain tires)
10. Engine damper (okay, I'm quitting here since you could see it it no matter how much you zoom in).

How many can you do?

Picture taken at the Grissom AFB Air Museum on my way to the CENDIV Series Solo at Peru this past weekend. I drove in on the rain tires, but was able to use the dry tires since the humidity never technically condensed into precipitation.

Pretty sweet! Awesome tread on those tires! And I really like the type used for the number.

I'll second that!

My mother's family was from Peru, IN. Haven't been back that way in a long time. I should take a long weekend, drive over, and show my kids where their grandmother and their great grandmother used to live.

Thanks for the memories!

15's look really cool.

hm.

I am considering the logistics and money for getting 15's on a brand new mcs without losing a lot of cash.

is there any advantage of 7 inch rims over say 5-6 inch rims?

does ride comfort suffer at all?

Thanks guys!

The pictures were taken at the museum at Grissom AFB in Peru, IN. I was there for a Divisional autocross.

Regarding 15" wheels, you'll find that the ride improves noticably compared to 16" combos if you keep the overall tire diameter about the same. That would be true of 5,6, or 7 inch wide wheels.

Since they are readily available, I would recommend a 15x7 wheel as the additional width will provide greater lateral grip when driving hard. They also look better! For primarily street driving, take a look at 205/55-15 or 205/60-15 tires.

The Konig Rewinds are nice looking, very reasonably priced 15x7 wheels. There is a thread in the tires, wheels and brakes forum about the Rewinds with plenty of pictures.

Hmm, I think I can see a mark or two....but I know where to look. I'll hit 90K miles sometime next week too!

Thanks for the nice comment Liquid. Oscar is starting to show some signs of all those miles if you look closely, but has been the recipient of lots of love and attention since I took possion on October 11th, 2002. I will say that none of the dozens (and dozens, and dozens) of cones that have been hit have done any damage to anything other leaving some marks on the magnetic number panels. Those are only about a month younger than the car!
