Bling is a personal preference but why do that to such a classic vehicle as MINI? Maybe a Dodge Neon:impatient

Personal choice. I think it would look pretty dumb , but it's not my car so my opinion does not matter.
Real problem seeing as you are in CA is that you can't use it on the roads at all. You are only allowed to have red and amber lighting visiable from the back and white and amber visiable from the front so the green would almost definitely get you a nice ticket.

I have them on all my vehicles, except my wife's Equinox. It's NOT a ricer statement. Neons were out before the whole "Sport Compact" revolution came out, and there were guys putting neons under their cars back in the '50s. Do what you want to your car, and don't be concerned with what others think. Nothing I do to my cars is for anybody but myself. I love a nice eerie glow coming from underneath my car.

I really couldnt have said it better myself. Im a fan of neon lighting with a couple caveats.
1) color must lend itself to the overall them. IE: red lights on red car, blue on a black or blue car, green on green.. etc
2) CAN NOT see the bulbs. I love the glow. Seeing the bulbs sucks. Also a lot more likely to get a ticket for exposed bulbs, as they are more evident from further away, giving cops more reason to look.
I want to throw some under my car, but having a hard time figuring out where I could mount them and not have the bulbs visisible. My 74 beetle will certainly have them though

Maybe if BMW had designed the car to have clear corners. The best you can do is get white arch lights. And leave the NISMO to Nissan. Slap your Cooper Works decal across your hood.

On the MINIs, it's real easy to hide the bulb, except for the front. You have to get creative. I recommend LED underbody kits. I hit a possum doing 70 one night and it knocked the bar off the mounting, but did no damage to the bar. My Gold MINI was at MOTD. It was the one with the white lights underneath. Like I said before, people were doing it wayyyy before the so called "ricers" were.

I agree. I hate the bulb showing, and I hate seeing orange lights on a green car. I have white on my MINI and turquoise on my teal Sidekick.
