I am compltely at a loss as to what to say about that thing. Except there's no place for it on a Mini.

i have the tornado on my cooper s. i know nobody on this forum will praise this product but i still bought one and installed it on my cooper. all feedback was well respected but i trusted my co-worker who had it in his 240sx that it did improve in certain areas, like fuel saving is true, and the throttle response on the hwy is much better giving you a feeling of increase hp and torque. i have the k&n typhoon w/tornado and to me it seems better than without.

if you got it, try it. it doesnt hurt not too and put your feedback on this thread again. i want to know if you felt any difference. hope this helped and good luck.

obviously, you havent seen the 'infomercial' on this product. this product is installed inside the air-hose behind the air filter.

Any product sold over a website, that starts off with a biblical quote, is praying for those, that as WC Fields said, are born every minute.

i got 56mpg when i installed it... but i think that was because i had just changed my halogen fluid, exhaust whistle, fuel line magnets and my 10 dollar 'cold air' diode... so they all might have helped as well!

Not an a supercharged engine

I have to say that my son put one on his Chevy 350 truck
& I do think it has helped in pick up and mileage ...
I know ... I know

Years ago I did some porting with a well known motorcycle race team ...
one trick was to NOT polish smooth the intake ports this was on 4 strokes (2 strokes are ported with a step in the intake port)
I just may actually have merrit.

Save your money on the tornado thingumy, you need to stop by KaleCoAuto

Maybe a Piston Return Spring

or some synthetic blinker fluid

Would be a much better way of spending money ?

I was going to install the Tornado, but my snake was already so oily from Marvel Mystery Oil, Slick 50, and the incredible toilet-paper filled cannister that allows me to never, ever change my engine oil, that I couldn't get him back into his cage. Have to go now, its time to apply the Avacor to my scalp, take my manhood-enhancing herbal supplements, and at 6PM Ktel is going to make the "Zamfir, Master of the Pan Flute" greatest hit collection available for only 3 installments of $9.99 (Not sold in Stores!!)

sorry to hear about your incidence with your dads car but when its time to go its time to go, most important thing is 'nobody got hurt'.

i hope you can read this before installing this weekend.
since i have the 'S' also, i called the tornado mechanic at the head quarters and got some important information: if you read the instruction, for turbo cars, you would need to install the tornado on the throttle body end instead of the filter. since our minis are supercharged, we must do the same way. if it is normal aspirated car than you would need to install it before the filter however ours is before the throttle.
i know there is a difference but you try it and share your experience. mpg will rise .3-.6 per gallon and the response will be better on the hwy.

upon reading all respected thoughts & opinions, how many of yous are speaking out of experience or just relying on ideology and spreading the rumors?
i too was once a non-believer on this product until i experienced it thus making me a little wiser person to not listen to all people with just ideological opinions who has not experienced it and go about spreading rumors that aint true. than again, it might be jut me......but nahhhhhhh, i see someone else concurrs with my experience. oh yeah!!!!
