The MINI Gold is, IMHO, not like most gold car colors- it's MUCH deeper, more '60's if you like. Here's the Gold MINI at this year's NY Auto Show:
I don't find it as horrifying as I thought I would, but I think it's a bit "Elvis" for my taste. I'm glad I've got my Silk Green!

After seeing a two BRG/Bs one block from my house, and a gorgeous PW/B on the Beltway on the same day, it was time to get my MINI. I sold my Krispy Kreme stock and bought the last SilkGreen I could find on the East Coast - a SilkGreen/SilkGreen demo from Virginia Beach. Most of the Minis I have seen around DC are LY or CR.

I had 5 MINI sightings in an hour span of time on Wednesday night.....it was nice out so everyone was motoring around.
(I live in Alexandria, VA...)
I saw.....
1 yellow/yellow S
1 Indie blue/black S
1 Chili red/white Cooper
1 Dark silver/black S
1 Electric Blue/black S
I hate seeing other MINIs when I am not in mine...I like to wave and greet the other drivers! But we were in the focus so if I had been waving and stuff they probably would have thought I was crazy.
