Well, I asked everyoen yesterday right before I went pick up my cooper what a good name for my acr would be.. So far I had a gut feeling about Paddington, like the bear and and the station... I got a lot of great responses to that thread. ... ok.. on the way to the dealership I had my brother drive, he had just come to visit me. in a stange turn of events we got on the subject of namign cars and he mention his was called Moonbeam ( for those in the know, moonbeam was the name of the princess in the never-ending -story which bastian yelled out of the window in order to stop the nothing.) My brother said he was going to name t somethign else bbut he had this feeling that I probably woudl name a car it one day.. so obviosuly I made him tell me... the name is derived form the word ambrosia. the name is Ambrosias it is the name of the steed (shaggy dog) in the movie Labyrinth. Well. when I got in the car it just fit.. and so "Abrosias" it is. I woudl also like to give kudos to Tate mini and to Matt cole. for helping me out.. I won't buy a car in VA if I don't have and heres why. A: Maryland has a lemon Law B: They don't ( as far as I can tell this is unviersal) have a dealer fees ( fees tack on for doing paperwork essencially) C; Tate unliek VA, doesn't require you to get teh floormats in yoru car liek teh oen in VA does. D: I only waited a MONTH to get my car as oppsed to 3-4 months. and Lastly, I can do all that and still pay lower taxes cause I 'm from VA.. E:( to save money I also did my own title and tags) Pick up took less than an hour,, actually it was that LONG becasue my borhter wanted to test drive an S and I wanted to throughly go over teh car by using a guide someone pointed me to on this website for car once overs.. I found some sort of blue clip in my right air vent and a small paint scratch on the rear which they fixed with great care. all in all I'm pretty damn happy. SO if you see a green mini cooper on 66 in nova everymornign Licence plate says [1 T bear] that me! I will soon post pics when I buy a new cable for my camera. Adious thank you all for the help I'm sure I'll be comming back here time and again. Thanks LAter!.

Congrats and a great name, too! (I was still kinda hoping you'd go with L.Mini though!

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm in your area...maybe we will see each other at meets or on the road!

Chollomo,

There is a mini meet in your neck of the woods this Satuday. It is called Cooter's Run and makes it's way from Steerling Mini to "Cooter' Place" in Sperryville. This should prove to be a great event (even if the weather isn't %100). Check the Mid-Atlantic forum for more info (or drop me a PM). We'd all love to see your new baby. Plus these meets give you some excellent ideas for future mods for your Mini.

Enjoy the new found smiles!
