What are people paying for stock front brake pads? Mine is a 2004 MCS; Sterling wants $95; Classic wants $75, but shipping will eat up much of the difference. Does Sterling give a NAM discount these days? TIA

 

you can go on line and pick up top quality Hawk pads for about the same money. Plus very little dust with these pads. Paid 95.00 including shipping for mine.

 

Check the vendors on this site.
Most of them have better pads at about the same price.
I paid $155, shipped, for front and rear hawk ceramic from MINIBrakes. Very fast service and great pads.

I can do 2 fronts in under 30 min now.....

dealer just told me my pads and rotors were totally shot and MUST be replaced..... this was TODAY....

I replaced pads with EBC 9 months ago and even viewing thru the wheel there's a TON of pad visible.....

I visit a resturaunt and from where I usually sit there's a grease board for the servers. It usually says "push deserts...$50 bonus for most deserts sold Sat" or "push appitisers...$50 bonus for most appi' on Sunday"

It is obvious to me that in the dealer lounge is a sign "push brake jobs....$2 bonus to the person selling the most."

Hawk is not usually noted as a low dust pad....I've never used 'em

Funny story about pushing deserts. During college, I worked at the local K-Mart auto dept. On Sat mornings, the manager always had us in extra early and supplied free doughnuts, etc. Then he handed out a list of certain brand and size tires, certain shocks, certain services. I worked in the garage area, but if I could talk a customer into something on the list, I got cash handed to me at the end of the day.
