Official pricing information has been posted on the news link in the MINI owners lounge: an increase of $125 over 2002 prices for both the Cooper and the Cooper S (Full Press Release Below). This is close to what everyone has been estimating in the forums, but it is nice to finally have an official number from MINI. :smile:

Woodcliff Lake, August 12, 2002.... MINI USA has announced Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2003 model year MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S. Both models feature product enhancements and undergo an increase of $125. This means that the '03 model year MINI Cooper MSRP is $16,975 and the MINI Cooper S is $19,975. Both prices include destination charges.
2003 production begins September 1, 2002. For '03, the MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S will come with a second remote key and both are pre-wired for a dealer-installed alarm system. On the interior, an anthracite trim is also available at no extra charge. This option changes the fascia, down tubes, and door bezels to a stylish smoke gray on both the Cooper and the MINI Cooper S. The MINI Cooper S is also available with the high gloss silver interior currently found on the Cooper.
MINI's sound system for will also be satellite-ready (an announcement on satellite radio will be made shortly) and will also offer the customer an auxiliary input jack to allow easy connection of MP3 players and I-Pods.

Hey, thanks guys... Give me no choice at all, and then start deciding to install the EXACT same suff that's in the MC, in to the MCS, of which i would have been just happy with..

That's a kicker also... of course, We had to be first, didn't we
Of course, I've already put over $1000 dollars in repairs to my current 12 year old car, and quite frankly, I'm not sure how long she's going to last... (Now one of the break calipers has decided that 'auto centering' is too hard to do on a regular basis... thank god my car's on it's way...)

Where can we get a picture of the anthracite trim??? I'd love to see it before it's too late. Does anyone have a picture of it??? Do you think the dealer would have pictures of it???

So does this mean I am getting a 2003 Cooper S, my delivery date is November, and my build date is September, how ever I ordered my car in July, does this mean my Mini will have all the things listed above?

Yes, if your build date if after September 1st, then you are getting an 03 model with all of the features listed in the press release. You can verify this by checking the owner's lounge at miniusa.com; when you track your "baby", it should say "The current status of your (model year) Black Cooper S is-On Order", or "Scheduled for Production" whichever may apply to you.
