spare tire

I was reading the owner's manual from the link provided to me regarding runflat tires which I have but I also have a spare under the car. The manual says no spare provided with these tires. Is this unusual?

S models come with run flats standard and there is no spare. Base Coopers may or may not come with runflats but either way, they do come with a spare.

Are you saying there is someplace to mount a spare under the car?

Not for the MCS. Our battery box is in the way. Coopers have the battery under the bonnet, and a side mounted exhaust that allows room for a spare. If you want a spare in the MCS, it needs to go in the boot or behind the passenger seat.

Gotcha. Didn't realize there were so many subtle differences. Behind the passenger seat really crimps leg room. LOL.

Does a spare fit in the boot? I think when I measured, the boot was no more than 19 or 20" deep.
