Banjo is looking sharp! (any OTHER Sidewalks there???)

Just back from our Colorado road trip ... more than 2000 miles in Stella (15 hours each way - and I could still walk )

Had a great time hooking up with Michael & Diana (SPF ZERO) but never enough time! (Back in 7 weeks for "The Wedding" (our son's)... and, then "the mountains")

I had the pleasure of meeting this car/owner at the Q. He told me he had just picked it up that day! Loved the brown Mets hat! Hope you had a good time. Great meeting you!

Here is something else that is not consistent with the Mexican version of the sidewalk. Mine does not have the reflective parts on the sides of the wheel wells. I circled them on the picture by Dr411. They are also noticeable in Banjo's (which by the way looks great with the modified grill).

I would guess these reflectors will have to do with security requirements in the US.

regards,
Xavier.

Sacha, where are your pictures? Have you been driving so much you can't get a picture that isn't blurry?

2) Initial and ongoing maintenance (Did you check all fluid and pressure levels early and often? Will you do oil changes outside prescribed (read PAID FOR) intervals

3) What has been your "Sidewalk" conversation? No one has asked me about the name "Sidewalk" yet.

I realize that some of these issues have been covered in other threads, but we're Sidewalks,we've got to stick together!
1) I use all Zaino products.

2) I have had many converstations about the sidewalk. Some thinks it is a different car. The package helped get his name. I live in a work, play, shop type of community...so when I was driving to my house people would stop me at the curb...so Kurby got his name.

IN PRODUCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to yell... no, actually I'm not sorry! I checked the Owners' Lounge this morning to see where Wellington is in the process (still awaiting production in week 23), and the status had finally changed from "On Order" to "Schedueld for Production." So, I thougt I'd call ASK-MINI to see if they have anything more to say...

ASK MINI: "I see that your car began production on the 20th, and is in process awaiting body panels."

ME: "Huh? It's already started? So we're not in week 23?"

ASK MINI: "Nope, looks like you're in week 21. Congratulations."

Woo Hoo!!

I was looking at your response to my old post and realized I had meant to say a "Texas" convertible like mine, with regard to leather care.

We've had some 100 degree days already and the sun is searing hot in the afternoons when I leave work. When I open the door I can smell the leather/new car smell. Although it's a pleasant sensation, I know that must mean the leather is being slow-roasted. I've used Lexol Cleaner and Protectant and am pretty happy with the results.

I'm seriously thinking about window tint, which I initially didn't see the point of and declined at purchase.

Right now, I've got a bigger concern. My headlight lens is broken. I'm hoping it won't be exorbitantly-priced to fix.
