On Order

We just ordered our Sidewalk last night. Astro Black. I love to clean cars so the color shouldn't be an issue. Also added Cold weather package. 6-8 weeks they say. At least we still have our 06 cabrio to drive.

Welcome minimae - 033

You must be getting one of the VERY LAST Sidewalks! Do you know if the interior will be Malt Brown or Panther Black? (see previous discussions in this thread)

I have the Sidewalk Owners Club Grille Badge on my MINI now and IT LOOKS AWESOME! I will post pics when I return from my (business-non-MINI-) road-trip.

I have both the Sidewalk Owners Club and White Silver Owners Club T-shirts and coffee cups from minibees cafepress site (see link in post #! of this thread) and they are also very cool I figure if the Harley guys can promote their babies, SO CAN I

You may well get one of the last 2008 cabrios to be produced! Word on the street is that production will end at the end of June, to start gearing up for the R57.

I was thinking that it may be getting too close to the end of production so I went ahead and ordered it yesterday. Didn't want to miss out on the '08 and still haven't fell in love with new body style.
The '06 Cabrio only has 18M miles on it but plan to drive the Sidewalk much longer. Now to come up with a name!

1) Pictures below
2) Silverly (my last name is Siverly, get it?)
3) Central Illinois
4) White Silver
5) Cooper
6) Age 40s (just barely)
7) No - too smart for that
8) "I've Got the World on a String" Frank Sinatra (first song played in CD-player)
9) None yet, but I plan to add XM radio

I'm the talk of the neighborhood with this thing. Love it, love it, love it. Perfect color and everything. Amazing car, and I'm so glad I added the stripes!

Cubbies are on a 9-game winning streak and I have a new Sidewalk. Drinking a great bottle of wine to celebrate. Life is gooood!

I have to say, it's the best color. And that's not because it is what I have and it was the only color available to me on a Sidewalk. I like to think I would have chosen this from every color on the lot, but who knows.

Anyway, I'm satisfied... three neighbors came over to ask about the color, saying that it's looked three different colors to them depending on how they've seen it.

Although we are VERY happy with our White Silver SW, I have not seen a color combo that hasn't made me SMILE

We were all set to order A BRG - before meeting Stella - but, we have LOTS of warm feelings for the Pepper Whites, Astro Blacks, and Sparkling Silvers that we have seen too! ...Could'a fell in love with any of 'em.

I'm very pleased with the non-S model, too. I'm not really fond of the wheels on the S, but they might have grown on me.

I had new door handles put on the princess by the dealer, and they gave me a new plain cabrio to drive. I have to say I am even more in love with my Mini now!! All the extras that come with the sidewalk make it a beautiful Mini and fun to drive. I may have not been so Mini Manic if I purchased the plain cabrio. But I have to say, it is yellow and I like the color. Never thought I would like a yellow car. I too haven't seen a Mini color I haven't liked.

Thank you to everyone for the line on the euro parcel shelf. After struggling with where the blue inserts fit the shelf is finally installed and awesome. I made an opening for my IPOD so it is at my fingertips now! I also got the M7 under struts and tower brace systems! The princess handles incredible now.

Baby has been conceived...

Ok, we finally took the step and ordered one of the 08 Sidewalks. We just ordered it Monday this past week and have our production number (is it obsessive to check multiple times a day @ the owner's lounge?). Here is what we have so far for the list:

1. No pic yet (of course)
2. No name chosen (not sure if it is a boy or girl yet)
3. Tulsa, OK
4. BRG
5. Cooper S
6. Age 40 (1968)
7. Are you kidding me...too smart for that :-)
8. Slow Ride by Foghat
9. Already thinking about some

Anyway, I will keep the group posted as it progresses. Thanks for the great group and I look forward to learning and sharing with you all as our relationship with our new baby matures.

Have a great week all!

Thanks for the welcome!! I will if it ever comes in, finished production and has been "waiting for carrier" since 6/3..very fustrating I see others have been finished on or after me and already on boats to the same port. Nobody can give me a reason why.
