sure looks like my u.s. version.

btw, did anyone else notice that when the temp crosses 80, things start to get hot in the mini? it's got to be an issue with that black interior.....though i must say it looks stunning

not quite

Oxtox look at the circled part on your picture. There is a difference in the pattern. Or the one that Ubique posted showing his European parcel shelf. That one is also a different seat.

I think the US seats have smooth horizontal sections on the aft portion of the seat bottom. The longitudinal stripes are the full length in the UK - right?

It looks like the US seats are different to other countries.
I had a check on the configurators for US, UK, Mexico, Canada, and Germany.
All are the same except the US seats. Seems like the full length pleats on the bottom would hold up better.
Seat trivia, sorry. I just found it strange Mini would change the style for us in the US.

UK:

USA:

Mexico:

I'll get off my seat now and go do something productive, like prepare to move back to the US in just under two weeks.

yes, and yes! american butts must require the horizontal section. mexico is in north america....it is curious that they would go through the trouble of different seats for different countries.

Late entry

Hi all! Looks like you guys have been up and running for a while now, hope it's not too late to join. Just took delivery of my Mini three weeks ago, but have been out of town, so I'm on day 3 of driving and it's a blast.

1) Will post edit once I have some good ones.
2) On the fence here, I'm leaning towards Eton but it's not "cute" enough. I've never named a car anything polite, so she's got the upper hand in the decision process.
3) Virginia Beach
4) Astro Black
5) MCSCa (gf no drivo stick-o)
6) 20s
7) Was, but I lost my membership for telling a Stephen Hawking joke at a meeting. Apparently you're only to refer to him as "Dr. Hawking," but I guess I was one I.Q. point short of figuring that out on my own.
8) Either "All Right Now" by Free or "Jenny" by Tommy Tutone depending on who's driving.
9) Brand new, but looking at getting a few. I know next to nothing about what's available so...

Mini Sidewalk First Day

Sorry for the Huge Size! This is my new sidewalk on its very first day. I drove from the dealer in Manhattan, straight to the Mini Q on Long Island in Old Beth Page.

Hit "Go Advanced" then "Manage Attachments" under "additional options".
A pop up window comes up, and browse for the file on your computer.
Make sure the file meets the size requirements.

Finally got my Euro Parcel shelf (ordered may 4th, got it today - 17th) but it is SO worth it. It looks like it was always supposed to look, and there is so much space for all those things that there wasn't space for before. Actually I just wanted my car to look like Ubique's...

Welcome Hersch! (029)

It is interesting to see the seat differences. You would think (in this world of corporate cost savings) that any variation would be eliminated as not being cost efficient!

We had a great drive out to Denver, (still here)
WOW!... is this a comfortable road car!

I would think they'd only change the U.S. version if there were some federal standard that the original didn't meet (so I guess the US version is safer now due to the safer patten in my seat to match my lighter wallet).

Sidewalks on the Sidewalk I

Okay, I posted an idea a few days ago about a Sidewalk Owners' Club event... maybe something annual, maybe in conjunction with another MINI event. Well, I wanted to let everyone know that Sidewalks On The Sidewalk I was held this afternoon in Denver CO!

The event featured one MINI, two owners, and two owners-in-waiting! Dave and Vickie (Xbass) were in Denver with "Stella" and topped by our house to say hello... a little something to tide us over while we wait for "Wellington" to be born. Here are a couple of pics:

that's Dave (in jeans) and me (shorts) with Stella. Note my 4yo daughter Aydan peeking over the door!

After beer and stories, Stella even "enjoyed" an impromptu detailing session when the lawn sprinklers kicked on!

Okay, now let's get down to the real business of scheduling an event!

I don't know why but I am not getting your pics Banjo - can anybody else see them? Is it my computer? Could you try putting them in your gallery?
