cargo

OK, so soon i take ownership of a brand new cabrio sidewalk. Now as all of you know, the cabrio doesnt have that much cargo space. Do any of you use any after products for carrying around things ie golf clubs etc. I was checking out mini do more and thought that was an ingenious device

Your thoughts? any pics?

So where do you get something like that? Did you have to have it custom made? I see motorcycles pulling trailers, would that work just as well for the Mini??

There is shop that makes custom trailers like this and charges $3,000 before painting. Although I don't have a cabrio, my cargo requirements are just the same because I'll be going to events as a vendor with the family inside--instead of leaving them at home, lol.

Here's a writeup I did recently on the Mini Fini cargo carrier

Beautiful engineering and design

Thanks OctaneGuy!!! Unfortunately I need to be able to haul a couple of bikes as well. I might be able to attach at bikerack to the trailer. I use the s-link system now for the bikes and it works great! I can see I need to get creative if I want to haul a lot of stuff PLUS the bikes. :-)

This is how I haul my bikes (2 mountain bikes here on my previous Cooper). I had a bad incident with a roof bike rack on a previous car--drove into my garage with the bike on top...doesn't happen with them out back.

This is using the Mini Fini Sport Link system---I can unplug the bike rack portion and plug in the trailer hitch or cargo carrier.

I see how you might have a problem carrying more stuff without a hard top..lol.....hmmmm.

i thought i was the only one who's done this! snapped my aluminum mtn. bike in half. as my bike mechanic says "that's the kind of thing you'll only do once."

I do (for carrying bikes), and I'm very happy with it:

. . . and see what BlimeyCabrio has done for cargo with the MDM:

I had an Acura Integra at the time---my Yakima rack crumpled the roof! It was so silly too. I had pulled up to my garage and just told myself, don't pull into the garage because of the bikes. Then somehow I got distracted, and CRASH!!!!
