Cant wait to see pics of the black leather it should be a nice combo, the malt leather is what sold me to the sidewalk.

I dont/cant have OEM bluetooth according to my dealer, cause it would not work with the top down for the microphone due to wind turbulance

Sacha, NOT true. I do have bluetooth on my white silver sidewalk. I have not tried to use it with the top down, though, But will try it tomorrow and report back.

abbyin3d, you will love the color. Iwill also expect you to post pictures to see those black seats. Mine has the malt brown.

Regards,
Xavier

Bluetooth is $450 plus installation ($650 total at my dealer) and it may or may not work well with the contertible. On the other hand, a JawBone headset (very good sound quality) is now under $100.

In my mind I wouldn't build in something like Bluetooth. Even outisde of the 6x cost, I don't like being locked in to today's technology years into the future. Will today's Bluetooth work with a phone that you buy in 2 years? Of course I also passed on the built-in NAV system for the same reasons.

Just my opinion.

This is an excellent reason not to buy the built-in NAV, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that phones will retain Bluetooth compatability for years to come even if a technology replaces it--there's just too much Bluetooth out there (in stuff like the PS3, etc) for it to go away any time soon. And it's so cheap that there wouldn't be a financial incentive for companies to drop BT compatability.

For anyone who's passing on the built-in NAV and wants Bluetooth, it would seem to me that the best solution would be to get a Garmin or Tomtom GPS that has a Bluetooth speakerphone built in...unless there's a major downside to that situation which I'm not seeing.
