Grille Badges

I just got my '08 MCS and would like to add a couple of the magnet grille badges. I think I can install one of them on the drivers side without removing the grille. But the passengers side is another deal. Need advise on removing the grille. TIA

Me too. I got the single badge holder, but when I went to install it, it looked like a bigger job than I anticipated. I got the double-badge holder for the rear plate, but the holes don't match up. I'll wait til someone replies to YOU, though....

(I still put some of the magnets around the rear-plate, though. Couldn't resist.)

Thanks! I'll try that if I have enough daylight left after work.

Thanks for the reply and here are a couple of other links

relating to the MCS R56 grille removal. There is an apparent conflict between the two regarding the removal of the chrome trim at the bottom of the grille. One says push down on the holding tabs and the other says push up on the tabs.

At any rate, I have learned that you must remove the grille to install the grille badge holders (either the Mini OEM or the OutMotoring).

It should be "push up". I was corrected on that before and forgot to fix in the pics, but I just fixed it now.

BTW, I never removed the whole grill as my fingers are nimble enough to work back there with just a little room. YMMV.

The install was easy after reading the tips posted on here. 15 min's start to finish. Thanks

Just did it yesterday, the four tabs on the bottom of the grille are squeeze tabs, just pinch them together and slide them out towards you. If your hands are small enough, no problem at all.

The chrome on the bottom slides out with the grille, btw, no need to separate the grille from the chrome for it to slide out. The motoringfile PDF shows that.
