Window speed
Okay, I checked the other threads, and this seems to be different from any of them. (at least the subject).
What happens is when you hold the rear window 'down' button on top of the windshield, both go down, then hold longer and the front ones also go down! Thats cool, but the passenger window is still up about 3" when the drivers window is completely down. Same way on the up side.
So I call D & R and they want to look at it to see if there's a problem. After about 1.5 hr, they tell me the door has received an "impact", and that with the door open the window moves at normal speed. Well the "impact" was a truck door parked next to Sgt Pepper at work got away from the guy in the wind and put a ding in my door. No problem, he will pay for the fixing. So I go to my good local body shop and they fix the ding very nicely, match the paint, and in the time promised. Now D & R says, they must have done something to make the window be in a slight bind, affecting moving speed. Well, I 'bout know they didn't take the door off! and while they did remove the trim and the door liner, I don't understand how this could affect the speed of the window going up or down. Sorry to take so long. Anyone else have this type problem? Tanx in advance! david
