Pet Peeves
I realize there were postings of Pet Peeves some time ago but I thought I would restart the thread.
1. What's with the horn? I would have thought the engineers could have come up with something a bit more original sounding. I swear, it sounds like a Ford.
2. Perhaps its just my car but the seat belt retraction spring on the driver's side has gotten very weak. Increasingly I find that I have to be careful in closing the door to ensure I don't accidentally get the latch caught between the rocker panel and the door.
3. Why didn't they raise the rear view mirror one inch? Coming down a hill on a curve there is a big blind spot at 1 o'clock, enough to block out a good sized truck. One inch higher would have been possible and resulted in a marginal improvement in rear visibility as well.

PS But its all worth it.

Pull the seat belts slowly all the way and make sure they retract flat and don't curl up or fold over. Once you do it a few times and break the old folds it will work a lot better. I also made a long straw (4 straws put together) on a WD 40 can and sprayed the bottom of the seat belt rollers. I agree with the horn and you can also add the turn signals, they sound cheep.

About the only beef I have with this great little car is that when we're out motoring, for some reason folks want to tailgate...and they look AWFUL big back there. It's worse at night, the headlights always look like they're on high beam.
I just pull over and let 'em pass...or downshift and scream out of sight!
