Definite fan of the aftermarket rims...as it makes a style all your own. I'm into the black, but I think you need to change the stripes to black to go with that blackened look.
BTW...just asking, what's your plan for a flat? I recently removed the RFT's from my bimmer...but didn't put anything in its place yet.

I'm a noob, so don't take this wrong, but what is wrong with the run flats? My Mini came with them, and they seem alright to me the ride is good and it handles well.
I've seen more than a few threads in which people were happy to get rid of them, but I don't get it!?

I think that if you like the ride and handling of the RF's then just stick with them.

Run flats can be repaired just like any other tire. Why some people won't do it, I don't understand. However, the problems with run flats are these:
Much harsher ride
Limited size selection
Heavier
Twice as expensive
Limited performance potential because of the ultra stiff sidewalls.
I removed mine as well and went with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's in the 215/40-18 size. Fantastic rubber and highly rated by Car and Driver in a summer tire test. Yes, when you go to conventional rubber, you take a chance that you won't be able to stop a leak and you'll need a tow, but for me it's worth the risk. I carry the following:
A Slime tire repair kit that includes:
The Slime in a big bottle
A 12V compressor for filling the tire
And one of those gummy worm kits with the reamer and the insertion tool.
In addition to that I have:
A Stop n Go tire plugger gun with plugs
A Dynaplug tire plugger.
For very small punctures, I'd try the Dynaplug first. Simple and easy and quick.
I'd then try the Stop n Go. I've used them before on a motorcycle tire successfully.
Then the traditional gummy worms.
And then as a final resort, the Slime.
Between all of those options, I'm thinking I've got just about every kind of puncture covered except a big gash. Worth the risk for me.

I know Continental makes a kit with an air pump...I know Green Slime does as well. Unfortunately, I've heard that both mess with the TPMS sensors.

JoeyC answer to "SLIME"
Slime will not mess up the tpms sensors. It stays a liquid that easily washes out of the tire when it comes time to patch it.
Slime does make an aerasol can that will inflate the tire as well as seal a puncture untill you can drive to a repair shop. It also will not mess up the sensors.
Fix-A-Flat will put a very hard plastic blob that will ruin the sensors and can't be removed from the tire. Make certain you get "SLIME"
