Figured for a 1st post I'd show my noobness...

Just picked up an '08 Convt S and wanted to do some shopping for it. Seems easy, not so much. From what I've been reading S52 covers several years in gen 1 & gen 2?

Is there a model that I can 'pretend' to have just so I can get through the will it fit part of ordering and actually have it fit? Example - front grill. Workd for '07 but not available for '08 with a particular vendor. A DICE ipod unit. Works up to '07 but cuts off there. Is there any safety in thinking that not much has changed between the '07 & '08 and something like a DICE (or other parts) would fit ?

This has been drive me nuts for the last two days and I couldn't find anything relevant in searching.

05-08 is the R52 cabrio
09+ is the R57 cabrio
02-06 is the R53 hardtop S
most parts for the R53 will fit your car. the only exception that comes to mind right now is exhaust due to extra bracing on the verts.

One quick way to tell is by the roll bars. R52's stick up well above the back seat while the R57's are lower. Visit many of the vendors listed in the vendor directory and most will have shopping sorted out by R##.

 

Thanks much. Figured even though vendor sites don't seem to support it that other models were close enough. So I'll pretend I'm a R53 (not S..duh)

@ Fly, it was actually minimania's site if I recall that said a part fit an '08 in the description but when going though 'will it fit' guide said it doesn't.
