Look me up at the Dragon I want to meet your Cabrio.. Maybe we should have "Cabrios only" event at MOTD 2006 MD STREGA2
I will be at the Dragon Wednesday staying at a 3BR Azalea. Look for me, will be my chili red (ghost in the machine) MCSC, a yellow w/white top MCS, & a yellow w/black top MCS parked out front & there will be a big friendly tail-waggin Border Collie mix hanging out w/us
I also have a 2005 MCS Cabrio. How long does it take to have the top replaced? Is the car in and out in one day or is it a much longer time period? Want to know how long I'll be without it.
I looked on my work ticket & here is what it says about the recall work they performed on my top:
recall 0054130100 (I assume that is the recall #) other than than not 100% sure what they did.
That recall is to adjust the covertible top set screws which I believe changes the closure mechanism action to be "softer". It does not include replacing the roof canvas.

Once they had the parts, the replacement took a day.

I could have sworn my MA said something about adding padding. They did not replace the roof they just either added padding or adjusted something.
After I had my top replaced (after showing fraying and wear marks to the dealer, he offered the replacement) I've had problems with my rear brake light staying on after I turn off the car. Took it in and they said they pinched a wire or something when they installed the replacement top.
wow... that's fast. My roof replacement took six days!
My 1st replacement (rear window shattered) took 3 nad 1/2 weeks. The 2nd replacement took two days but I kep t the loaner longer (one week) . I had driven almost all the loaners at my dealership, I even named them so with my MA (he left Friday ) we were using their given names "Pepperina" "Punkin" "Ape Maya"

Border Collie? We've got 3 of them and they all love the cabrio! What color?

Mine is a rescued pound pup so he is a mutt. He is beautiful though. People stop me all the time & tell me how purdy he is. They always want to know his breed but I have to tell em "sorry he is 1 of a kind" He is colored exactly like a Border Collie (black & white) but he has a shorter coat & is sized more like a lab (65LBS). He is smart as a whip & doesn't possess 1oz of meanness. He loves riding in the convertible/top down. Unfortunatley when I adopted him he was predicted to only reach 35LBS so I trained him to ride in the front seat. I have to lay the seat back as far as it will go & he sits there just like e little human with his doggie seatbelt on I also bought him a pair of doggles (doggies goggles) which I put on him every now & then (he doesn't really like em but he tolerates them cause he knows I like em )
That's too cute. Hopefully our pups will get to meet one day! BC's are really smart, and you are right about no meaness. My doggies are afraid of their own shadows. Can't make the dragon tho because of a cub scout camp comittment.
