A new convertible problem?

I have a new Cabrio on order, and the delivery is been held up. I'm being told that there is a problem with all new Cabrio's comining in to the USA. The dealership will only say that there is a part that needs replaced, and they are awaiting it from England. Has anyone else hear of this "NEW" problem?

Hmmm - problem?

I ordered my cabrio 3rd week of March, it was complete 4/1 and shipped out 4/7. Going like clockwork so far and no word of delays . . .

Wow, no problems yet w/MCSC ordered 3/30 and apparently "born" April 11. It's still a long way off from delivery date (approx. 5/30) tho. Keeping fingers crossed...

Still no word on it, approx due date was 04/06/06. You would think if there was a problem, they would let people know.

I just got Nemo on 3/31 and there were no problems with it. Now... the top DOES squeek when I put it up, but I think it just needs some lube (uh, no comment.) I do keep it down for days at a time though. The ONLY issue I've had was the back right seat lock not opening. They have ordered the part and I'm waiting for it to come in. That was broken the day I got Nemo.

Hmmm. My '06 has been at the VDC for over a week and they originally said that it would only be there for maybe 2 or 3 days. You could be on to something.

UPDATE: I've been told that there is a software problem that is causing the roof software to drain the battery.

do the MAs know about this?

My mini was just discharged yesterday in NY. I was hoping to be able to pick it up next weekend but if there is a problem with all of the cabrios, that might not be possible..... do the MAs seem to have any info on this?

So I spoke to my MA

about this and he said that there are no further delays with the Cabrio related to this issue. My new mini was unloaded on Sunday and he says it's due up to them by Wednesday or so. he said a couple of weeks ago, there were delays but they know what the issue is and are fixing it at the VDC. Also - he says its actually a computer issue that just needs reprogramming. He confirmed that it had to do with the roof draining the battery. Good news for all of us waiting for our new Cabrios...
