Motor On... $7? Where did you find yours? I will pay $33 if I must but am curious about your deal.

I ordered a pair of multivex mirrors online and they do work magnificently specially if you have some very, very dark tinted windows. I bought mine from their website.

I have Multivex mirrors on every car I own. I love 'em, and highly recommend them.

The mirror is just peel-and-stick on. Yes, cold weather package includes heated mirrors. They turn on whenever the car is running. I used black silicone caulking which I happened have around the house. Here it is with the mirror angled to the maximum inward and downward position. As you can see there is plenty of room to work on the caulk. Just run a bead into the gap and smooth with a wet finger.

I started with both sides, but the driver's side depth perception was just a little too tricky for me. I returned my driver's side under their 90 day policy with no problem. However, if you can adjust to it, it does give you a lot of added visibility.

If its not in fornt of me its in a mirror; total cost $7. The two stickys were 94 cents a piece at walmart. They've held up to FL heat and heated mirrors.
The small stick-on convex mirrors work (I've used them), but the Multivex gives you a full size wide angle view that works much better.

I rarely use the heated seats in Tampa except when the nights get cool and I have the top down. Then the heated seats are great.
Multivex recommends that the silicon be put around the edge if your mirror is heated. With the cold weather package (why you bought that in Tampa is probably another story ) you should have heated mirrors. I popped the mirror out and stuck the Multivex on, then just used the silicone around the edge. Once the mirror was back in you can't even see the edge so you can't see the silicone.
One thing to note is when you pop out the heated mirrors there are two wires attached. You have to put those wires back on before re-installing the mirror. I just used a needle-nose plier to get them back on - real easy (thanks to rkw for the tip ).

I bought my MINI off the lot at a dealership in Jacksonville and the cold weather package was installed. I didn't want/need it so they split the cost with me.

My Multivex had a thin stick pad on the inside and a thicker pad on the outside. So there is a pretty big gap on the outside where you can see between the mirrors. I guessed they made one pad thicker so you would be able to get the Multivex off later if needed. So I guess I could fill the space with black silicone and smooth it out.

How do you get the mirror off? Just pull? It will be a lot easier to apply silicone with the mirror off.

Ohh yes I do intend on upgrading, just not in the mod budget/ high on list of items and I say a little question about them mentioned. For such a small car with a wonderful green house I was suprised to see just how much of a blind spot area the MINI has.

Lesson learned here... be VERY careful if you have to peal this d@mn thing off. I cracked my passenger mirror...so now I have to buy a new mirror to try and stick THIS one to.

I had to pull off one of mine because I put it on crookedly. I used Bestine (rubber cement thinner) to soften the glue, and dental floss to cut through the tape. BTW, be very careful with the surface of the mirror as you're working with it because the reflective coating is on the outside surface.

I've posted above that I returned my driver's side Multivex. I took it off with only dental floss and it came off easily. I've had a few occasions to use dental floss on double stick tape and it cut through the foam tape easily each time. The thinnest dental floss you can find works the best.

For those of you who are thinking of removing your mirror for the Multivex installation/caulking, here's a picture of the back of the OEM mirror. The large circle in the middle has tabs that clip on to the power mirror mechanism. To remove the mirror, put the mirror in its maximum position pointing in and down. Reach in with your fingers close to the circle and simply pull to release it off the tabs. The two prongs at the left are for heated mirrors and you would pull off the attached wires.

I am considering the Multivex mirrors. Anyone know if the 07 MCSC side mirrors are the same size/shape as the 06 MCSC? The Multivex site doesn't list the 07 MCSC.

Man this is an expensive website! I've only been here 4 days and I've bought a Wind shield and now a Multivex mirror. Who knew owning a Mini could be so expensive!

Could someone help with a question about the Mulitvex mirrors, it only lists for year 2007 MCs, will these fit on the 2008 as well? I emailed the website but haven't gotten an answer yet? anyone know?

This is the selection page I see on their website: http://www.multivexmirror.net/Result...&Submit=Search

1st gen MINI (02-06 MC/MCS, and convertibles 05-08) use compatible mirrors. An 07 coupe uses an different size mirror.
