All I said was "like wearing black socks with shorts", whether that's a positive or negative thing is totally your bias.
Perhaps I'm really into black socks and shorts hmmm, then this would have been a complement.
What if I had written "like a Texan in a bookstore"? Is this a positive or negative - depends on your point of view doesn't it.
Personally I think having your windows up and top down is like having sex with your socks on. There you have it.
Oh by the way - love riding those shopping carts (just not a Wal-Mart).

On our run in December, I had my top down, wind blocker up, and windows up. Who cared what I looked like? I was warm and comfortable in the cabin, AND I could see the sky. I was warmer than those with tin tops who had their windows down. There is almost NO airflow, just a slight ruffling over the top of your head. The price was a bit hard to swallow, but I've already forgotten about it.

Exactly. 93 million miles of headroom. Who cares if the windows are up? I don't...

Hey, I ride shopping carts at COSTCO and I wear socks when I have sex but it's on my middle leg do we have any in common yet?

I too was a doubter, but when the weather started getting chilly and I couldn't stand the cold wind anymore, we coughed it up and bought one. I can honestly say that when its cloudy, I generally leave the top up, but if that sun is shining...thanks to the wind deflector, I am topless!! You think its not worth the money until you have it. My husband says MINI should have made it standard with all the cabrios and I must say I agree.

My girlfriend got mad when I told her I spent 300 bucks on a piece of plastic with some pantyhose stretched over it...that was until we were motoring with the top down and the windscreen up with temps in the 40s. No longer does she complain about spending the money....

OK, got my Wind Deflector from Morristown Mini. Tried it out yesterday and was amaized of how little wind comes in the cabin with the WD and windows all up. Also works good for keeping things from flying out of the back seat when the top is down. I would think you could put a lot of miles on with the top down and not get beat up by the wind. After looking at the design and materials of the WD, I can understand why it cost what it does. Glad only had to pay $299 for it.

The cost is only 1% of the overall cost of the S convertible. So why not add it if it will give you more time to go topless and make the convertible experience more enjoyable. It is cheap for what it can give you. (And what is it worth to not have your better half complaining about the wind and cold!) DC will surely apply now!!

We cruised down to Orlando doing about 90 on I75 with our wind deflector and our hats stayed on the whole way down Well worth the money.
