Are you getting one ?

It's getting close ,I'll see one soon at the LA auto show and soon after orders will be taken .I am considering one ,It would be much more practical for my family ,I would also get the automatic ,my wife cant drive the stick she tried to learn theres just to many hills around here .I would love the MPG of the non S but I dont think I could give up the turbo .Just wondering if anyone else is thinking about having a Mini Clubman in there garage ?

The Clubman has some very cool features that I think owners are going to really love. I have never needed a larger MINI, so I won't be needing a Clubman, but I think it's superb!!!

Nope. Don't need one. If I could have several MINIs, then maybe I'd get one, and make it look similar to that JCW Challenge safety car.

The new Clubman certainly seems tempting. I wish they had "suicide" doors on both sides, but that is a minor quibble. The extra space over the standard mini will definitely come in handy.

Clubby looks good to us as our 2nd MINI... We may have to wait for the '09 though, as we're busy paying of the SUV still.

We'll get the Clubman as the fuel saving family car, to distinguish it from the sporty Supercharged 06!

We plan on getting a Clubman. The only thing undecided is who's MINI gets traded in for the Clubman.

'09 Clubman S for me.

I'm not getting an '08 because of the first year bugs that will probably turn up. (I had an '02 MC, so I have some experience with this. )

I'm leaning towards a Clubman as a replacement for my Honda Del Sol. We've got a 4 month old and the extra 3" pitch for the back seats + the passenger suicide door should come in handy. We spent a recent weekend trying to make a Cooper S work with our Graco carseat and it wasn't pretty.

looks like a Clubman is in the cards for me to replace a '95 Celica. I wish they were at the dealers already. I don't know which color I want yet though but have a good idea on the options.

I've had a deposit on one since Jan. 06 so I'm really getting antsy now. I've had trouble figuring the color too as I had wanted a yellow S, but they only offer yellow in the regular Clubman.
Now I am between Laser Blue with black stripes, or the Chili Red with black. I wanted visibility in a color as we have so many large trucks and SUVs in our town. I know white is pretty, but I really do like color. Still I don't want to attract so much attention that someone keys the car. Any suggestions?

The pure silver metallic would be highly visible. Too bad the C pillars are unavailable in pure silver. I am leaning towards hot chocolate. The astro black looks really good too. At least you can get black C pillars with it.

I think i was on the international site which let me select that combination for display only. I didn't actually use the configurator. The black C pillar color and astro black body color prolly won't match perfectly either.

I wouldn't mind getting one

I would love to get a Clubman, but sadly don't have the money to get one Maybe once I graduate from college in 3 years, perhaps my parents will be super nice and help with a downpayment. Lol in my dreams. But I think a Clubman would suit my needs since it is a little bigger then the Mini which is good, and it still looks cool! Although I wish the c-pillars could be the same color as the body of the car instead of it being only in silver or black I wonder if they can get painted over.

MINI of San Francisco told me they will charge 1,500 > MSRP for a regular Clubman and 2,500 > MSRP for a Clubman S! LOL! So far, Southbay (CA), Prestige (NJ), Manhattan (NY) told me MSRP only! What are these people thinking?

Did they give you any idea when they would take orders .They are making alot less of the clubmans , they might be harder to get thus driving up the price .

I can only hope that my 3 series has enough value left so I can trade it in for a Clubman without any cost. That, and I need to convince my wife that she too needs a MINI.

USA Mini prices, except the Clubman, are posted on Motoring File today. Not bad. I've had a deposit on one since Jan. 2006, finally I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Trouble is I would like to have one of each model. But the Clubman is the one I was waiting for. Now I'm torn between Lightning Blue, Laser Blue or Chili Red, all with black stripes. After seeing that beautiful photo of MINI ESQ above, I'm starting to lean that way. Gorgeous combo!!!

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to negotiate a group purchase and get it below MSRP..

I think a chocolate brown clubman with a silver roof would be nice. Id be tempted to get a Cooper Clubman since petrol prices are higher in Canada and I'm not a boy racer anyway.. My two prior MINIs were Cooper S'.... and I like the idea of having a spare tyre... I wonder if I'd regret not getting el turbo....

I'm pondering the exact same question .The only non S I've driven was an automatic ,it seemed to me it was a little week for how good the suspension is .
