HC/B arrives in NY/NJ port early next week, anyone from NY or New England have a feel for time from VDC to dealer? Promise to be a good club member and post pics when available.
Will gladly take suggestions on your favorite premium gas if you live in the greater Boston, metrowest area. Hess has good prices, but I never hear anyone touting the gas.

I ran Mobil or Shell 93 for the first 1400 miles and got 35-37 mpg for hwy/city and 30-31 for city only.
So why pay more for gas that does not get you any thing extra. There is a lot of hype about the use of "Premium" gas and how if it is not used then there will be damage to your engine. This is just not true. i have run two cars to well over 200k mile on 87 octane that were supposed to run minimum of 91 octane. In both cases there was not damage to the engine and the gas mileage was not different enough to compensate for the difference in cost.

My HC Clubman, "Count Chocula", is due to be built, well...today!! Anyone know/remember what the number of days that it took to get to the ship? There's a boat going out on the 5th and one on the 13th so I'm hoping it may make the boat on the 5th. Anyone have any thoughts?
OH! If it's appropriate to join the club before delivery, sign me up! My Clubman started production on Sunday!

Where did you find those scheduled dates? I checked the WW site and it looked like the 5th and the 12th out of Southampton; not that it makes any difference, I just want to look in the right place.

What is this WW site you speak of?

This is the one I've looked at:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/
I'll go look at the new tracking thread and see if there's better information there. This is just WW (one of the shipping companys)'s overall schedule. I don't know if it includes non-auto vessels.
Actually, here is the tracking thread, which is much more helpful than me telling you.

Hi Everyone. The Big Brown Dog arrived last Friday and while it was an ordeal picking him up, it was well worth it! Our MA (MINI San Antonio) kept teasing us that it would be ready to pick-up on Wednesday...then it was Thursday..and finally Friday. But, wouldn't you know it, my husband had to leave town for business and couldn't drive me down to SA (from Austin) to pick it up before he had to fly out. So, what to do? Friends were busy and I didn't want to wait...So, I drive DH to the airport, drop him off at the terminal, take the truck to long-term parking, drop it off, hop on shuttle back to terminal, pick up rental car, drive to SA, drop off car at airport and finally, take a cab to MINI dealership! I was almost too tired to be excited, but when I walked in the door and saw my car on the showroom floor, I was re-energized!
Anyway, DH is still out of town so I've been toodling all around town. Everyday, someone has come up to me to ask about the car or give me the on the road. What a great little car!

I want to see yours too!
I was going back and forth between a modestly equipped S vs. a loaded base, after the test drive I could not turn my back on the S - added leather after the order was submitted, no regrets, but it was another $1k beyond the budget - I think part of the wait is to prompt buyers to add, add, add!
