I don't recall seeing badges for the HC Hardtops and Cabrios? The HC Clubman badges are HERE.

Haha, causing me to wonder why or how I am posting in the Clubman forum.

Because, as far as I know, this is the only HC Owner's club.

When the color HC was released in 2008, it was exclusive to the Clubman.

They need to make HC available in the CM. Our first color choice was HC and we had to settle for (close but no cigar) Light Coffee

How long did it take to clay it?

1.5-2 hrs. ... not so bad ... was expecting longer.

hardest to do was roof and hood ... then back doors which were a real mess.

easiest was doors/side panels ...

Clay FTW.

I've got stripes, and it's not clear that it's a good idea to clay those. The installer used crap material the first (two) times, and they discolored both times. The third set has held up better, and I studiously didn't clay them this year. Cleaning compounds (Meguiars) don't do well either.

But, in the spirit of the thread, this color really stands out with a little TLC.

Wait. A "Clubman SD?" "S" I understand, "D" would be diesel? "SD?" Huh?

Huh. A MINI---Performance---Diesel.

My first thought was that they'll never bring it to the States. My second (being a recovering VW diesel owner) was to want one real bad. My third was to remember the gas-diesel price difference, and how that difference is how I came to own a Clubman.

Sigh.

Yeah. I think I remember reading that it gets something like 64 MPG? But I don't think it has as much HP as a regular S?

I could look it up and report back, but then we would miss out on all of this speculation, and what fun would that be?

64 MPG?! OMG. I could get behind that kind of mileage. I'm already driving a justaClubman, so it's not like I'm accustomed to rapid acceleration...

Not good. I'm going to have to go to a diesel anonymous meeting.
(no offence meant to anyone who is in any sort of actual recovery)

Ah, I was right. And wrong.

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/02/m...pton-for-2011/

Finally, European buyers can get excited about the addition of the new Cooper SD. The pint-sized oil burner packs 143 horsepower from a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel mill and 225 pound-feet of torque. Along with all that grunt, the SD comes with start/stop, brake regeneration and electronic power steering to eek out as much fuel economy as possible. The 0-62 mph dash takes around 8.1 seconds while churning out 65.7 UK miles per gallon. Spend a little time with a calculator, and you'll find that the number averages out to around 54.7 mpg on the U.S. cycle.

So far, there's no indication that the Cooper SD will show up in the States.
