DUDE That looks awesome. I was really interested in going with the dark theme myself but I didn't want to repaint my roof black or Chocolate. I originally had gloss black R112s and gloss black bits everywhere but it looked funky with the giant silver roof so I decided to change direction and go bright with everything. I'm jealous, your Clubby looks great and those red bits, really add alot of character.

 

Hey thanks M appreciate it and sorry about the roof dilemma but it seems like you went the right route for you clubby. I'd love to see a pic sometime. Mine is a work in progress but I think I'm content with the exterior for a while now time to start on some under the bonnet goodies.

Just purchased a 2011 Hot Chocolate Clubman with 10,000 miles in pristine condition. Plus it was a great price! It has the piano black roof and mirrors. Want to put chrome mirrors on the car and would like to put silver stripes. Would you all suggest matte or gloss silver stripes to go with the rest of the chrome?
We are a now a 2 mini household, my husband had a 2011 Cooper. Please add me to your list.

 

Congrats and welcome to the club. Definitely go gloss with the stripes. The silver may look a little strong because you have the black roof. A great in-between would be the black stripes with the silver pinstripes.

 

I will get some pics as soon as I get everything back on. I can't wait to have it all assembled. I finally got the roof basket on too. Performance goodies are a must on the S. My hatch S is a firecracker while unfortunately my non-S clubbie is more of a sparkler lol.

I forgot to ask, what model is your Yakima air diffuser on your roof? I need to get one badly. I can already imagine how much extra drag I will get with the new basket. Thanks in advance.

 

Hey M sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I think it's either the 32" or the 38" yakima fairing. It's slightly narrower than the space between the roof ridges. You can always go a little bigger if you want to deflect around those. Hope this helps.

Yellow Peekers!!

 

I have a HC (of course) with black top. I was wondering if the checkered flag on the mirrors would look good with that. I am wanting to get the black w/white bonnet stripes. Or should I leave off the checkered flags and just get plain black bonnet stripes?

 

Whoa those yellows look surprisingly great. Get rid of those ambers so there is less going on. Great look and nice idea.
