Does anybody know whether or not a road bike with ONLY the front tire removed could fit in the back of a clubman with the rear seats folded down? I travel for work and like to keep my bike locked up while on the road rather than on a rack.

 

I would say that is an absolute "yes." I can fit a my 52cm road bike in an '06 MCS with the rear seats folded down, front seat pushed up, and with only the front wheel removed.

Yes it will fit in the Clubman - because it will definitely fit in the current models with the front tire off...

Yup, I got a 58cm bike in my '02 with the seat all the way up. Only the front tire was removed. My 6'3 friend squeezed into the passenger seat to prove it was possible...
