I actually got the ship information from the shipping schedule on the K-LINE website, which was updated on the 6th of February, so that has to be the most accurate information
Also, what kind of things do they have to install extra at the port? I have a chrome hood scoop, crome exterior package, silver stripes, not many other things that would need post production. I thought they did all that at the dealer anyway?
That would be pretty funny. My MA is JIM. He is going out of town from the 15th-18th to check out the Clubman event in LAs Vegas. If my car comes in, I hope there is someone else who can take over for all of the paperwork, because I wouldn't be able to wait until he gets back. haha
My MA is Jessie and she is also booked to attend the US release of the Clubman in Vegas. If the Emden is scheduled to dock on the 2/13, I honestly don't think our cars will be ready for pickup before 2/17 or 2/18, at the earliest. And that is provided our cars will get out of the VPC in 1-2 days, then add another day for them to be transported to Ft. Lauderdale.
Once the car arrives at the dealer, they will install the iPod adaptor and I will also have my installer do the tints and the front end clearbra before delivery.

That is mostly handled at the dealer, However I do know that in some instances the VPC also deals with accessories installs. The issue with the VPC is that if the car did not sustain any damage during transportation, then it should be 1-3 days tops to get it into the vehicle transporter and onto the dealership. When the car is hold up at the VPC for 5 days or longer, that's when I start getting nervous.
So far 3 MINIs under my belt and none of them have spend over a day or two at the VPC. I hope the "tradition" continues with MINI #4.
Me too. Right now we are down to 1 car, so we are really anxious to get the Clubman ASAP. I have a feeling we won't be able to pick it up until the 21st..
Time will tell. At least you dont have to drive 200 miles to pick up your car. I can only drive down on the weekends also, so its gotta either be the weekend of the 16th or the following. I kinda dont want it sitting there at the dealer without me during the week
Well, I am in Orlando but, I was in Ft. Lauderdale for all of december, so I decided just to purchase the car there. They didn't mark anything up, and they gave me a few free add ons after I talked them into it, since they couldn't lower the price of the car.
It is my first MINI though, so I am very excited. It is going to be sad to leave my pretty little 2004 Prius that I have been with for 4 years, but we all have to move on sometimes..
Congratulations! I never driven a Prius but then again, I have never been interested in them either. As soon as you hop behind the wheel of the Clubman, the Prius will become a distant memory.
