Just curious to see if the dealers are marking up the Clubman. I'm paying MSRP for mine.

The more models MINI produces the less frequent markups will be in the future. I predict.

I paid MSRP. Mini in the Bay Area wanted MSRP + $2500 though.

My MA's boss told me on Saturday that the Clubman has really done better than expected in Europe. Given the value of the dollar compared to the Euro, he thinks they'll be more inclined to fulfill European orders before American orders. He seemed to think that the wait times will be longer than they are right now once the car is officially released, and he basically told me I'm lucky to be getting it at MSRP.

Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price ---> "Sticker Price"

We wanted to buy from our local dealer, but they wanted a $1,000 fee for specing our own, plus "Market adjustment".

We will pick up our new Clubman on the way to the Dragon this year.

I hate that, we always try to support our hometown dealers, but $3,000 is important to us also.

Sticker here. My MA said that other than the regular TT&L and dealer installed equipment, it will be what I see on the configurator.

Funny thing is I don't think MINI sales will be impacted much by this as they've done pretty well with the mark-ups which seem to be the majority of MINI dealers nationwide. It's also nice that there are dealers who aren't so money hungry and sell at M.S.R.P. Guaranteed I'll be going to an M.S.R.P. dealer.

This was said in 2002, and the markups in some markets lasted until nearly the end of R50 and R53 production, esp. in CA. Something like this cannot be predicted.

this is the exception, not the rule, and a benefit of being a repeat customer (what all new car dealers strive for) in a dealer-abundant NE market. Good work!

The Clubby will be MINI #4 bought from the same dealer and I did not get any discounts. But at least I got free mats, free iPod adaptor (including install) and other freebies. So in all and all, I got an equivalent $500 discount but in freebies.

FYI all 4 Mountain Time Zone dealers (Denver, SLC, Albuquerque, Scottsdale) sell for MSRP. The Denver dealer, however, has >zero< prep/doc fees.

The dealership I bought mine from had a few pre-sold Clubmans, they said they were MSRP with no additional fees even doc. fees. My MA did say though he gave one of his Clubman customers free labor on install on a few of their Clubman accessories cause they had already bought an '07 Cooper from him a few months prior.

LOL... yeah, it gets real cold where you are, huh. I've got the premium, cold weather, and convenience packages, along with xenon headlights, front & rear fog, and all season tires (which we need in Maine). I didn't spend any extra on making it look pretty.

if you got the sport package you got the sport suspension. It's included with it. I can see mini selling many fewer sports packages because of that.
