Well, the day has come an gone. I took delivery of my Clubman on Saturday!
I really don't know where to begin. I just love the car. I'll post some more impressions in a few days (have a very hectic week). Anyway, I wanted to get some pics in here for all to see! Uh, well - check out my gallery and my flickr page:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/bostjancic/

Sorry, couldn't get the pics to post this time.

Hope that you enjoy these pics as much as I have enjoyed all of yours!

another photo - roof rails

I just posted - on Flickr Mini group - a better profile view on the roof rails of my Mini, taken about a week before it was delivered to me. The car had just been delivered to the dealer's lot.

Lurch,

Thanks for posting my photo. I guess I missed out on the $5; I am new to the forum.

How did you insert the photo in with the text? I belong to some other web forums and when I attach a photo, it inserts it in with the text, like yours. On NAM, I have only been able to "attach" it and then it shows up as a tiny thumbnail. I checked the help function, but no help.

Thanks lurch, I like the looks and their usefulness, too. They look good on the HC/BLK.

Don't feel badly about that $5, PA Clubman, it has already been claimed and the lucky winner asked Coopdy to reach in those to donate his winnings to the charity of her choice.

Otra,

We like the the HC/BLK combo, too. It was my wife's choice; she is an interior designer and is very good with colors. I have not seen a brown vehicle on the road since my '77 Econoline Van.

Already getting appreciative looks on the road with the Mini.

Interior is stock color with exception of gray cloth sport seats. Light tan leather would look good, too, but I needed to keep the price point down. Maybe the next Mini.

I had a "metallic brown" Toyota Corolla Hatchback back in the late 80s. Completely understand about the price point.

Thanks for posting the pic lurch70. I too think the HC/B is a wonderful color combination and that the roof rails look great. I wonder when we'll see a pic of a silver roof with the rails. That would be interesting to see.

Also, does anyone know if that is a new antenna or waiting to be replaced with the ones we know as another poster suggested?

For fun I went onto the Mini website and built the most expensive Clubman I could - MC Cooper, metallic paint with every striped and decoration you could imagine, dealer installed options, leather seats and wood trim, Cooper wheels, to-die-for sound system. I was able to get the price up to $45k! without tax!

Just realized, MiniBoz missed out on an official and hearty "Congratulations!!" on his new Lightening Blue and Black (with stripes) Clubman! Very nice looking - love that non S bonnet in blue, too.

I'm slowly growing into really liking the Clubman...I like the manual transmission, the mpg, but I do miss the power of the "S"

Yes, but you have TWO Minis. Enjoy!

At some point our 10 year old Toyota Corolla (got it from the proverbial 80 year old lady - my mother-in-law) only 50K miles on it, will need to be replaced. Another Clubman (an S this time?) is probably in the cards.

In search of...

Okay, so I've started talking up a Clubman to my wife... of course we just got the R52 Cabrio a few months ago. Second car, Clubman, makes sense to me! Probably a year out, but I wanted to see an actual photo of an Astro Black with silver roof and pillars. Anyone have one they can show me? I've found AB with AB roof and silver pillars, but not AB/S/S. It does look good on the configurator though...

OK, now I've reread your post and see you want a black roof, too. There are a bunch on here with that combination https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ighlight=Astro however I do not believe that one can order an Astro Black 2009 Clubman because I believe they have discontinued that color black. http://www.motoringfile.com/2008/03/...lack-for-2009/

P.S. Did you look through the Clubman Flickr pool yet http://www.flickr.com/groups/mini_clubman/... Even if it's not Astro Black, you'll get the idea and be able to see the new color in the showroom.

MrOtto, Arlo is stunning! The last pic is my favorite and the roof rails just fit the lines of the car so well. Thanks for sharing/indulging.
