We were this weekend....we both headed to Pittsburgh to hang out with some of the other M|U friends and shoot some shots
Add these to the list:
-Excessive use of vinyl.
-Over abundance of checkers on random parts.

- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
That couldn't be more wrong. Ricers usually run $80 autozone wheels like konigs or motegis
I've never seen them running around with HRE's or iForged's
In terms of the original question. Rice has come to basically mean just having poor taste when it comes to modifying cars.

HTClubman, I think I only had a loose understanding of the term and thought of them along the lines of British hot rodders with non filtered packs of cigarettes rolled up in the sleeves of their t-shirts...a la James Dean.
Rally that is great that you and Fireman got together with some others... Next time just come a little farther east to the NYC area.

Maybe because it's your camera shot.

Gorgeous photos of all those Clubmans! It's been so long since I've seen one in person these photos are helping and my therapist recommends that you keep posting more.
Mini Fireman, love the foliage and the colors (hope there are still leaves on the trees when I get mine
).
I have a Honda (though not a ricer, probably too old) but they can't compare to the classic (and hot) James Dean -- best on screen kiss I've ever seen.

OK, hardingsan, I went over to the MU site and checked out all those Pittsburgh "Ricer" AKA Gangsta shots - you did have some other good ones, too.
For those who haven't found there way there yet:
http://www.motoringunderground.com/f...hlight=Clubman You all have some seriously great photos and Clubmen to match.

How cute, Rally and Mini Fireman take pictures of each other driving! So the person(s) taking the pictures, did you use a tripod?

For the rolling shot, there was no tripod involved. Just a photographer hanging out of another car that's driving next to the subject car.
Tripods
were used for all the parking garage shots due to the low-light conditions, though.

Actually there were more than two of us involved and several people photographing. The rolling shots were done with a photog in the passenger seat of both cars.

In the UK, people who drive blinged cars are called chavs. It's an anagram for CHeltenham AVerage.

My 2 photos aren't as pretty as those posted by Rally and Mini Fireman, but the car is new and exciting to me. We're having stripes put on the hood and back (bonnet and boot) tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be happy with how they turn out. Does anyone have a clear bra? We're having that put on as well, plus tinting. Oh and new 17 in rims have been ordered (Rally - I'm sure they're not up to your standards!).

Removed the chrome gas cap for a cleaner look. Headlight rings have been painted. Factory option...hahaha.
