Mine came with the dealer's name printed on a black frame - as yours appears to be. I took off the frames, removed the lettering using some denatured alcohol on a rag and put the frames back on. I now have black frames without any cheesy dealer advertisements.

Surfink: I would have went with outmotoring's light bar instead of I didn't have to attach the front license plate(the kind that sits in front of the bumper instead of above it). I'll have to look at PepBoys then. Thanks!

This car belongs to one of our customers. It's lowered on KW Variant 1 coilovers. Wheels are Rota MC, 18x8.

I meant to just remove the whole frame. I am running frameless. Only disadvantage is if someone rubs up against it, there is a possibility to be scraped. But my mini is aggressive like that .

like this..

I had to go out in front and look at it 4 times today

This is my BRG JCW clubman. i do LOVE the way it looks. I traded in a Camery Hybrid on this. I just could not do the camry thing anymore. Anyway thanks for the feedback. I think I am done with Mods(I hope) for a while.

the Rota MC's looks fantastic! even though they are 18's, they don't look their size.

I would be all over them if they were available in a 16-17" size ... unfortunatelly the rubberband tires 18's require would necessitate me tip-toeing around NYC's bad roads.

Doopa: How harsh is the ride with 18's? The front apron is almost touching the ground-so how often does it get scraped?

I think ttwaiter is the owner of the car above. I can speak to ride harshness, since I'm running these same wheels on my '07 Cooper S. I really didn't notice any additional harshness compared to the 17" wheels I had on before. The car is pretty stiff already, and the 17-18 change didn't seem to change it.

I'm not lowered quite so much, but mostly I only scrape that rubber hangy-down part, which is easy to replace anyway.

Actually, I think I don't even have that rubber thing on the car in the pic above. (We were changing out bumpers...)

That rubber hangy-down part i hit on every decent size bump and on all speedbumps. Its only an inch off the ground. I have thought about removing it, it has three plastic push in connectors. I removed them but it does not come off. I called the dealer but they said their about 12 of those connectors some of which are behind the Bumper. I might just cut it off.

Isn't that tab supposed to add protection(somehow) to the underside of the vehicle?

Taking that piece off the car with the bumper installed would be a real pain. I just finished installing the JCW bumper on my car and that piece is held in place by the 3 plastic rivets on the bottom plus and additional one up inside the bumper. The last one would be very difficult if not impossible to remove with the bumper bolted to the car. It would be much simpler to cut it off cleanly with a dremel tool.

No. It add's zero protection. It's soft and flexible so it's not going to do anything if you bottom out your car or hit debris.

That tab is supposed to improve the drag coefficient. Most normal cars have these. My Lotus didn't have it since the bottom was flat with nothing sticking out.

It's for aerodynamics. It basically serves to reduce airflow underneath the car. I'd suggest keeping it on. As for removal (if you do want to), I grabbed the end and pulled. It just zipped off with a bunch of popping noises as the fasteners came free. There are a BUNCH (12 or more?) of little plastic pop fasteners that are integrated into the rubber strip. But there's still a plastic flange that hangs down probably 1" from the bumper. (You can see that in my photo above). That's what the rubber strip attaches to.
