Timing is everything. Including a problem...
I am not sure where the best place to put this post, so if it is not appropriate here or gets moved I understand.
Ordered my HC Cooper Clubman in mid December telling the dealer at that time that I would not be ready to take delivery until mid March at the earliest. So, of course he ordered it as one of the spec cars and it arrived at the dealership (one of the ones on Long Island) on February 16th, the same I left town for a vacation. I spoke with the salesman before leaving to schedule a test drive for this Monday (the 25th) and thought that would be good enough.
Now, yesterday while driving 75 on a Florida interstate (gotta love those Southern speed limits!) I get a call from the sales manager stating that basically he will make it worth my while to take delivery before the end of the month (Thursday). He acknowledged that the car came in early but was really pushing the fact that there are incentives that expire at the end of the month and so on....
Soo, the question is, knowing that these cars do not really have a lot of leeway in their final pricing, what do you all think I can expect? Is he whistling dixie here or will there be some real solid reasons to get out of my current lease a month early and take delivery this week? Should I walk away?
What say you all?

Most people get a smile, a hand shake, and a free can of soda. Some people get free floor mats. There's one guy over in the Owners Lounge who's getting $500 worth of accessories, but that had something to do with his trade. The sales manager at my dealership already told me that I'm lucky I only have to pay MSRP, so don't bother asking for free floor mats.

OK-so here is the low down on the situation. Joe the sales manager at Hassel Mini in Freeport really came through for me here, I think.
To be clear I am leasing this vehicle.
Basically, the deal is there is no money down, no fees, et al. All of which comes to a price reduction that is GREATER than my last month's lease payment on my current car. So basically for what I find to be shockingly low dollar amount (less than $2K) to drive off in a new car, on Friday I will be picking up my new Clubman.
Now...what to do for a name.
