Well... after close to two months I finally picked it up

The Great:

-- it looks AWESOME - pepper white, black roof, sunroof, factory aero kit, hot chocolate leather interior

-- it drives even "AWESOMER"

The Frustrating:

-- I have big feet and the clutch is too close to the foot rest
-- I couldn't figure out the intermittent windshield wipers

The Downright Pissed Me Off:
-- jackass BMW sales manager thinks I am an idiot and tried to upcharge me roughly $800 and then tried to insult me into paying it.
-- my nav system and VR doesn't work and I live four hours from the dealer... it is not going to be a convenient fix anyway you look at it; and
-- it took roughly 8 hours to pick it up... but I ain't complaining because it is sitting in my garage as I write.

I'll post pics later because it is a downright smooth looking ride. (the aero kit really looks good with the pepper white).

I thought the same thing but it didn't take long to get used to the whole pedal set being offset slightly towards the wheel arch relative to the seat centreline instead of the usual offset away from it.

What'd they want an extra $800 for?

Regarding the $800

Like I said... the guy must have thought I was a real idiot (or that I didn't remember the deal my MA and I had worked out the day that I traded my motorcycle) because the $800 was a pure and simple up-charge.

...the guy even spent several minutes arguing that I owed it and that the previously contracted amount was an error.

I actually felt very bad for my MA, she was very embarrassed that the jackass tried to take advantage of me. I guess the guy was used to dealing with BMW purchasers who (by and large) could care less (or don't realize) whether they are being shafted.

Congratulations! Ours is/was coming late in the truck as per our MA, so another weekend that we could not take deliver. Besides, once it gets to the dealer, the iPod adaptor, tints and clearbra will be all installed before delivery. Another 5-6 days before we can pick it up. Its been a long wait for sure will be worth it! Come March 1st, fast!

I'll post them tomorrow afternoon...

If anyone is thinking of going with the PW/black roof combo, I highly recommend it.

Never posted a picture before...

I got a second to take these pictures... it is dark here now... and I didn't want to cold crank her to grab a better shot. Nasty florescent lights don't look great, but you get an idea with this.

I can't get my pictures to upload, but here is my flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24167623@N08/

I hope that works.

I'll post more later.

Joe, that looks fantastic! I would love to have that combo but this desert sun will eat that black roof to fast. I would have gotten a white roof on my brg Clubbie if I was allowed to just because of that reason.

i would suggest removing shoes or foot rest to deal with the clutch issues.

minis were not designed to be driven with clown shoes!.................j/k

I would have gone with PW/B but our '02 MC was painted in that color combo, and while it was very nice, after 6 years you want to try something new, hence why we went Hot Chocolate/Silver this time. Congratulations on the car. You'll find that PW is one of the easiest colors to maintain, but be sure to keep it clean.
