Can-mini
Hey there, I b picking me mini coop S up tomorrow March 31, 08. I've only the mini site build to reflect an image. In Montreal, I've only 2 shades for the roof B or W.
The car was actually built with the stripes but I'm having them removed. Guess I'm a classic fluff. Anyway, beige leather, sport, comfort, and convenience packages. Black interior with the leather. The rims I'm having changed as is shown in the images below. I'm considering an all chrome grill and bumper. The chrome grill is what i really like about the Mini Coop. The car was already built with w few extras so I opted for the S. Green being one of my fav colors, it worked out well.

Driveblind, take a look at my signature and you get a pretty accurate idea of how long it can take to get here. The Otello ended up being three days late and then my car disappeared into the VDC for a long time. It's amazing that you can track the ship across the Atlantic with position reports every six or twelve hours but when the car arrives in NY it just disappears. The owner's lounge dates were always two days old. Not to worry, your cah will be here before you know it!
As soon as I get Izzy registered I'll get out on the road and take some photos, hopefully with no snow around, and post them on the flickr site.

I purchased my BRG Clubman S on March 25. What a thrill to drive each day but the brake pads will be the first to go. I had the same brake dust problem on my previous BMW 540, switched to Akebono's and the wheels stayed cleaner longer. I can already tell that the LSD, DSC off and sport pkg will make this Clubman a blast to drive. The 6 spd has a pretty short throw (shorter than the UUC shorty in my 540) making shifting a breeze. I will take it easy for the next month as I break her in. I will add more pictures tomorrow but I have only taken one picture that I am attaching.

Took the clubman to the track today
I took the clubman to Moroso Motor Sports Park in West Palm Beach today and I was just all smiles. This event was sponsored by the Braman auto group (BMW, Mini, Porsche, Audi, etc). I was able to push the Mini to its limits. The LSD with Sport mode on and DSC off made the Mini very track friendly. Very nice to drive thru the four chicanes and the sweeping left and righthanders. Instruction was great (Thanks Steve and Robert). Brakes on the Mini are pretty strong to bring the Mini down to a halt in no time with no fade especially hard-late braking into the chicanes. The next meet is on June 8 on the smaller kart track. I posted a few pictures that my wife and daughter snapped in my gallery. I finally received the EBC reds Saturday but came home late from Tampa and did not have time to install and bed the pads, I will do that next weekend. I will take pics once installed.
Enjoy,
Gary
Enjoy,
Gary

I don't think that NAM will allow very large photos! I'll try to come up with some more artful shots once these April rains subside.
I really, really, like this car - I mean - Clubman...but I'm going to have to spend some time sitting inside it, in the driveway figuring out certain controls tomorrow or the next day. I'm sure it will become second nature to me soon.
