Welcome first of all ... and join the insanity!

Everything looks pretty standard but things you can do better in the aftermarket are:

the Nav system for $750 ... you can get the same one for half in stores. I believe its the same exact unit as the Garmin 360

wheel locks for $314? ... I did not even know these existed ... are you sure this is the price? you can buy 2 sets of wheels for that price

Park Distance Control ... some swear by thins but I don't see the point especialyl on a small car like the MINI where if you look back you see the rear clearly ... for SUV's maybe ... for the MC its purely a toy.

As far as pricing ... I don't know any dealer that sells below MSRP ... window price is your price ... you might get a few freebies thrown in, like mats (so don't offer to buy them outright before hand) ... but that's it.

Good luck with your purchase!

Well, I don't take delivery of my Clubman till tonight, but I would say that you are going to miss the Xenon headlights that are part of the sports package or a separate option. I hear they are very worth it.

I would omit the Portable Nav as it is a Garmin Nuvi with the Mini name on it, and you can pick it up at Bust Buy or Amazon.com for $100's less. Look for the Nuvi 760 for a really nice one that goes beyond what the Mini version has and costs less with the same look. Also, a lot of the dealers will throw in the floormats if you press them (about the only freebee you can get). You don't need the iPod adaptor since you are going for the Convenience package.

Everyone jump on me if you don't think I'm right.

r.e. wiggle room--probably none. I did my darnedest negotiating with a couple of dealers. Was told that franchises have agreed with corporate not to sell current year MINIs for under MSRP. Did get a couple hundred $ free accessories from dealer.

Why are you getting an iPod adaptor in the accessories when you have the bluetooth/USB/iPod adaptor in the factory configuration. It's redundant.
The stand alone iPod adaptor price of $330 doesn't include installation.

Also, the boot mat might only fit the coupe not the clubman--double check that. My MA seems to think that the Clubman sized boot mat isn't out yet.

Welcome to NAM!

Not sure where you live - but the Rear Fog light is a very good addition to have.

fishdrummer, I don't know where you live but if it's anywhere near the NY/CT area - I believe I can point you in the direction of a Clubman that is ready and waiting for you very close to your specs. Not quite clear if you're after an S or a Cooper version. The one I know about is a Cooper - BRG/BLK. I've posted a photo of it on the BRG Owners thread.

*I now realize you're after an S but will leave all this up incase someone's after a Cooper Clubman

I second the thought on the nav - there's a cheaper way to get the same thing. Definitely get the rear fogs - if you don't you'll have a toggle that's empty. Super annoying.

What dealer are you going to?

I ordered my car in sterling exactly 1 year ago today. Took delivery on April 17. I've been satisfied with the dealer. They were absolutely not moving off MSRP last year, but they did throw in floor mats for me. I worked with the MA Jeff Wannall. Good luck!

Don't you get locking wheel nuts as standard in the US?

And I'd trade the sports suspension and MINI/Garmin sat nav for Xenon lights and buy the Garmin or a Tom Tom separately.

But otherwise it looks az great spec!

(And in the right colour!)

thanks for the great pictures. the ultimate sell for me will be if i can fit my drum kit into the trunk area. i have a 22 x 14, 16x16 , 9x13 and 6 x 14 cases to fit with stands and assorted smaller things. i hope it works!

Don't buy a full-sized orchestral bass drum or tam-tam as well and you'll probably be OK with the rear seats down! (And I'm sure you dealer will enjoy helping you check!)

My suggestion is to consider 3M for the front area and the rear bumper when the doors are located. Thus no stone chip or scratched back bumper when loading the back area

Is the yellow color shown in the photo above an available color on the clubman? I did not see this as a color selection on the miniusa site. It looks nice.

Available for Clubman but not for S. I checked! I saw one when I was at the dealer for a test drive. It was there to be picked up. It had checkered flag side mirrors and door handles. Looked sweet! I probably would have ordered yellow instead of Chili Red if it was an option for the Clubman S.

Welcome to the boards! I am new here myself. I ordered about 10 days ago and my baby has not been put into production yet. She's a Chili Red Clubman S.

About your plans: If the arm rest is not included in one of the packages you are thinking of then you will want to add that. Otherwise there is no place to put your right arm. Also, I passed on the Sport Suspension since I couldn't tell the difference between the mini with and the one without when I tested them. Also if you leave off the Sport suspension you will have a smoother ride.

If you're going to Mini of Sterling, I highly recommend Fred Sweets. Really nice guy, low pressure, and great taste in cars! His MINI is AWESOME! I went in for a test drive last Saturday, ordered my CR/B MCS on Monday, and it went into production on Thursday.

When I was ordering, they had a good variety of options on the cars there, so you can get a feel for the aesthetics of different options when you go as well.

I wonder why not for S? I ordered an S and would have ordered this color for sure but did not see it available and did not know it was available on the non S.
