Clubman Retractable Cargobay Cover

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if the clubman comes with this standard? I was looking at the manual and couldn't help but notice that my clubman didn't come with one...Any thoughts?

Should be. They were in all the Clubmans at MINI of Mountain View.
Can't imagine that would be optional.

I sent an email to the guy who sold me my clubman at east bay mini. I hope he gets back to me quickly... Thanks for the quick response, Eric!

It was included on mine as well....it might have been an oversight on the dealership's part.

Yeah, those aren't an option, or even something that you can buy from the dealer, so I'd have to assume that they should be standard on all Clubmans.

I got mine. Someone had to have swiped it before you took delivery.

I have mine, and I have to say it's one feature that I don't care for. It's very balky when being removed, attached, or folded back on itself. I would have preferred a retractable cover of some kind. I would add that it's much better than the cheap rigid cardboard covers I saw on some hatchbacks I checked out. Still, it's pretty far down my list of important MINI features.

It's standard - not sure if it will get much use or not. But it's nice to have in case you have something in the back and want to cover it up.

I leave mine in - and have only once needed to remove it to increase headroom.

not real thrilled about the gap between the rear window and the rear of the cover... can easily see if there's something in the boot... and the non-retractability stinks...

I finally got my boot cover and like everyone else I am disappointed. It's not much but it's good to have if it's included with the car...

I definitely agree with it not being very useful. I carry a lot of items in the back (one of the reasons why I now have the R55 instead of the R56), so the cover now sits in the same corner of my office where the old one sat!

I use mine everyday when I drop my kid off at daycare and my work laptop bag stays in the boot. The bag is a little too bulky to stay below the cargo floor and, in the city you do not want to leave stuff like that where wandering eyes can see it. So from my point of view the cargo cover is a must.

mine was broken at delivery - so they swapped mine out on the spot with one from their demo.

I use it daily - but took it out on my trip to Indy since the dogs were back there and I didn't want them laying on top of it.

I need to buy a cargo bay cover - anybody know where?

Guys,

I just bought a 2009 Astro Black Type S - but it did not have the cargo cover and I really need it for where I work. Does anyone know of a site that sells them of a owner that wants to sell one?

You can email me at Hanspeterbriegel2@yahoo.com

Thanks!

A dealer would have one for sure, but you might check with one of the vendors here at NAM, many sell original MINI parts.

I am disappointed with my MINI cargo cover. I have a Volvo wagon that has a self stowing cover, it retracts like a window shade. You can deploy it in a second, with one hand!

Thanks Dave, My local Dealer said it would cost $145 - I can't find any here.

Dave,

I appreciate your response. I have looked on here but can't find anyone (store) who has one.

I took mine out and it will stay out until my kid doesn't need a stroller anymore. With it installed the stroller doesn't even come close to fitting in the boot. As a matter of fact. many things don't fit in the boot when it is installed. It's amazing what a few more inches does in your boot....
